The best vegan-friendly restaurant in Livermore - Edit
I made a happy cow account just to post this review. There is an exclusive vegan menu with a great variety of options that actually taste good. In my years in living in Livermore, Uncle Yu's is the only place were I feel a little taste of home (southern California) where I don't feel othered into settling for one of two season-less, sad vegan options, added as throwaway afterthought menu item. Uncle Yu's is truly the best vegan-friendly restaurant in Livermore for taste and variety. However, expect to spend $80+ dining for two.

Clearly labeled, so much flavor! - Edit
Amazing Asian options here, all clearly labeled. We enjoyed vegan fried rice, spicy tofu and dry green beans, all fantastic. Our waiter was also super helpful and knowledgeable and was able to make a vegan sweet and sour soup.

Make Sure to Ask for the Vegan Menu - Edit
I've been going to Uncle Yu's since before I was vegan. I was surprised to find out that they actually have a separate vegan menu!! Just make sure to ask, because they do not give it to you automatically. Lots of options to choose from and they all sounded delicious! I really liked the home style tofu dish and mushu veggies. If you're looking for an upscale restaurant to enjoy with some omnivores in downtown Livermore, look no further!

This is a higher end Chinese restaurant with great service, great food, & good vegan & vegetarian options. We've had szechuan vegetables, kung po broccoli, home style tofu, a side of their spicy garlic pepper sauce, sorbet, orange no-jito, vegetarian pot stickers, lotus tofu cups, yu shang eggplant & vegetarian Singapore noodles. We loved the food, service & experience.

A lovely warm stylish restaurant with very attentive and kind servers. Their vegan menu is diverse and after selecting 4 different options, I am so happy to tell you that everything was super good and tasty.
