A Vegan Home - Casa Vegan - Edit
The place is not very easy to reach by car because of the narrow streets. However, it is located in the centre not far from the promenade by the sea. Soothing place with good air circulation and good energy!

There was a warm welcome on arrival from Vito, who with his brothers Cosimo and Giovanni forms a trio competent in various fields such as holistic medicine, naturopathy, yoga... as well as macrobiotic-inspired vegan cooking.
At the entrance to the shop, there are many products on the shelves for sale.
Very fast service with that touch of witty friendliness that is never lacking around here.
We were able to enjoy a first course of semi-prepared rice with squash blossoms and courgette and particularly tasty gommasio. Then cooked vegetables consisting of green beans and very tasty cannellini beans, all accompanied by bancha tea. To finish an excellent dessert made with rice malt and hazelnut cream. Generous portions. Average prices.
Il posto non è molto facile da raggiungere in macchina per le strade strette. Comunque si trova in centro non lontano dal lungomare. Locale soaziosi con una buona circolazione dell'aria e energie positive!
Abbiamo telefonato ancora in autostrada e malgrado fosse già un po' tardi per il pranzo ci hanno detto di venire comunque.
Calda accoglienza all'arrivo da parte di Vito che con i fratelli Cosimo e Giovanni forma un trio competente in vari settori come la medicina olistica, la naturopatia, yoga.. oltreché la cucina vegana d'ispirazione macrobiotica.
All'entrata del negozio ci sono tanti prodotti in esposizione sugli scaffali in vendita.
Servizio velocissimo con quel tocco di arguta simpatia che da queste parti non manca mai.
Abbiamo potuto gustare un primo di riso semilavorato con fiori di zucca e zucchine e gommasio particolarmente saporito. Poi verdure cotte composte da fagiolini verdi e fagioli cannellini molto gustosi, il tutto accompagnato da té bancha. Per finire un ottimo dolce fatto con malto di riso e crema di nocciole. Porzioni abbondanti. Prezzi nella media.

My partner and I ate at Un Gelsomino yesterday and it was brilliant. 100% vegan including classic italian dishes like pasta and calzone. We split linguine, a mixed plate and the seitan cut with potatoes which was too much food for us but we just couldn’t choose what to get as everything sounded lovely. All very well seasoned & delicious and staff were very friendly. Beans and greens were a highlight. Small shop at front sells pasta and sauces and a small amount of fresh veg.

Die Karte wechselt täglich. Essen war gut und abwechslungsreich und die Preise waren in Ordnung. Trotzdem war es jetzt nicht soo besonders, dass ich nochmal hingehen würde. Netter überdachter „Innenhof“, allerdings sehr eingezäunt. Wir waren an einem Freitag Abend die einzigen Gäste mit einem anderen Mann.

Ottimo ristorante con ampia offerta di prodotti a km0 coltivati nel proprio orto e soprattutto di stagione! Prezzi accessibili e porzioni non scarse. Proprietario molto gentile e disponibile alle spiegazioni! Lo consiglio perché si trova a 10 minuti a piedi dalla stazione di Salerno e soprattutto perché ha davvero costi abbordabili, le materie prime sono genuine e le pietanze ottime!

Was not the best day in salerno and i am always very uncomfortable when going out to eat alone.. but i am so glad i did.. also bought some nice pestos from different regional plants I dont even know.. looking forward to trying them;)
Pros: Many vegan options, Nice atmosphere / nice owner, Slows you down
Cons: Nothing really. Worth the extra 10 min walk;)

Very well seasoned and very much. We ordered lunch and could not finish it and had enough to also eat dinner from it. We had a platter with grilled vegetables, slice of seitan, vegan 'meat'balls, bread and a soup beforehand. Also a very tasty vegan parmiggiano. Highly recommend!

Owner speaks no English, but one of his chefs (or waitress?) speaks good English. Delicous food. Everything Really special. We loved the mixed starter (10€) with wholegrain bread and vegan cheese. The pistachios basilicum pasta (10€) was perfect. Only the dessert (3,5€) was just "okay". Good restaurant to convince people going vegan!

This restaurant is on a mostly residential street, with few other stores near it (a couple of blocks from the town's main drag). However, it is worth walking a couple of blocks to go here. The food--which is all vegan--is delicious and healthy, the staff is ultra friendly.

Read moreWhen we arrived at 7.30 on a Saturday night for dinner, the restaurant was completely empty which was a bit strange.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, though the waiter didn’t speak English the chef did, and came out to welcome us and explain the menu. The menu changes daily and is written on a chalkboard on the wall (all in Italian). The chef also brought out a plate of food to show us the daily mixed special which looked really good, so I ordered that and my boyfriend had the fried seitan with salad. The food was quite simple but everything was well prepared. Good prices too - €6 to €9 for mains, and the mixed special also included soup for starter. The clean healthy veggies and grains were a welcome change from the usual pizza and pasta.
They have a couple of quirky policies like no mobile phones at the table, and they brought us a jug of green tea on arrival (added to the bill) which we didn’t really want lol, but didn’t think it would be polite to refuse.
All in all though it was a really nice dinner!
Pros: healthy plant-based menu, friendly, knowledgable staff, affordable
