So Good!!

Absolutely loved it!! Haven’t had good “butter chicken” since I went vegan this blew me out of the water!!
Ask for 2 roti, I’m full without it but it was so fluffy I just can’t get enough

Pros: Friendly fast service , Inside smelled amazing

Cons: Can’t see the sign from the front, Small portion for price

Insanely good food

TVX blew me away. Seriously. Their food is so creative and delicious, and they really do Southeast Asian and South Asian cuisine justice. I highly recommend the Nyonya and the Panang, but everything is fantastic. I feel confident saying this is the best restaurant in the city.

Pros: delicious food, great service, affordable

New Favourite

Not much to say other than it's delicious.
Favourite is Chole (chickpea curry) with paratha and a side of basmati - can't go wrong with this pick.

Pros: DELICIOUS, Consistent

Cons: Portions are small, \

Strange "South Asian" Dishes

I'm not a fan of the food. I ordered the Eggplant Curry dish and it was strange for a few reasons. One, it tasted like cheap Indian turmeric (bitter-tasting and tongue-numbing); two, the eggplant wasn't thoroughly cooked it still had a bit of a raw crunch; and three, the flavour profile of the spices overall reminded me of curry powder premix (Indian "curry powder" originates from Europeans' perception of Indian food rather than an actual Indian cooking ingredient, and this dish tasted like that...). The basmati rice that it was served with wasn't good either, it had a bit of cheap-brand texture (too soft and lacking aroma/taste). It was served with sesame seeds (perhaps an attempt at fusion?).

I got my food to go, but the layout of the restaurant seemed like a cross between a hot counter and a fine dining restaurant...

Pros: Server seemed friendly

So tasty!

Had one of my best meals in Toronto here. So tasty and flavourful. The ”bread” you got with the meal was seriously amazing!

The food was so incredible I could not stop eating!

I suffered the rest of the day because I ate too much, I literally could not stop because the flavors were wonderful. It is modern South Asian and high quality. Indian is my favourite food and it is up there with my favourite spots.

Pros: Great flavors , Roti bread amazing, Good portion sizes

Cons: Name of the place outside was not clear

Exciting and different

This restaurant really exceeded our expectations!! We had the butter chicken, greens dish, and mushroom wings. Loved it all - the sauces are so complex and colorful as well. Each dish came with a roti bread that was fantastic!

Pros: All vegan

Cons: None!

Impressive

On the road all the time so I’m trying every vegan restaurant I can. This is my new favourite one. If They would’ve had Options for beverage I would’ve given five stars

Pros: Stand out quality Butter chicken, Patient and Friendly staff, Colourful garnishing

Cons: Water and Pre-prepared lemonade, had to drink tapwater yuck, Medium spicy is actually very spicy

Easily my favourite Vegan spot in Toronto

Love this place, I visit as often as I can.
Great menu which is often changing and adding new items.
The passion the chef has for his food is palpable.
Cannot recommend enough.

Pros: Amazing menu , Consistently great food, Nice back patio

Very good Asian curries for a great price in Kensington!!

Very solid freshly prepared food for a great price. The flavors are awesome but be careful of the spice level as they tend to be on the spicy side. First time I tried the medium and it was a full hot to me so the next time I went mild and enjoyed the dish fully.

Pros: All vegan! , Great prices!, Full of flavor

Cons: Can be a little spicy, try less than you think. , Be able to have more than 2 choices. , More seating possibly.

Perfectly spicy

Real freshly made curry making no concessions on the spicy experience. Flavours and textures are on point. I had the no butter no chicken curry made with cauliflower in a « very hot » version. Regular size was perfect as it comes with rice and paratha. Terrasse at the back is welcoming.

Pros: Classic curries revisited, Super fresh, Flavours and fun

Awesome food but ...

The food (Chicken made from Cauliflower) was really, really delicious and the staff was friendly! However, they sell everything in plant based “plastic”. Even tough it is recyclable (and so on), real cutlery and dishes would be more suitable for the food and more comfortable to eat with and better for the planet. Outdoor seating. It is great to watch the people going by on Kensington Market, but they should really clean up all the trash around the tables (everything from old socks to boxes and wood - that’s really not nice at all) and clean the tables every now and then... (no dishes/rubbish and dirty tables are max. three stars but the food makes up for it)

Yummy greasy food truck goodness.

Was a bit too smoky inside from burning oil which will make your clothes take on the smell, but only if you hang out for too long. Can’t complain about the food though. Delicious.

Bit dive-y but excellent food

The concept is curry, served atop basmati rice, with a side of paratha. Plenty of options, good flavour. Mild spicy is still flavourful. The guys working the counter were friendly and also cute.

Incredible Vegan Curries

Absolutely delicious curries. I had the Vegetable Korma and my boyfriend had the "No" Butter "No"Chicken curry. Both were fantastic. They were served with basmati rice and paratha bread. Highly recommend. Flavours were on point and so amazing to get these curries as fully vegan! YUM! We will definitely be back.

Pros: Amazing delicious flavourful dishes, Great friendly service

That Korma is SERIOUS business. It is so creamy and delicious. AND? AND? They actually soak their basmati rice, which is why it tasted so perfect.

Great twist on old recipes

Found this place by accident. It used to be a food truck! They just opened in November (2018) amazing food! They were really good with allergies. Tasted like healthy but yummy fresh Indian cooked by local Canadians! “Everything is made fresh daily” recommended and will go again before we leave town.
13$~ for a XL with 2 curries. Good value

Pros: 100% vegan and tasty , Not like any other Indian food we have had before, All made fresh and in front of you

You know why it's so good? They even grind their own spices. You know how I know? I'm Indian, and know what the texture of roughly bashed up spices taste like. This does NOT taste like pre-mixed garbage you get from the store. They do not drown it in garbage spice blends from the store. I can /taste/ the well crushed spices. It's so good because they pay so much attention to detail, and they know what's up.
