Serves meat, vegan options available. Tea room specializing in Japanese desserts many of which are vegan made with agar agar, azuki, and glutinous rice. There is mochi and a wide range of yokan and namagashi. Dishes for lunch and dinner also changes regularly but will include a few vegan items - just be sure to say no miso soup as it likely contains dashi (dried fish). Open Mon-Sat 11:00-19:00. Closed 3 weeks in August, so check ahead.

Authentic Japanese dessert shop and restaurant - Edit
Most of the dessert are vegan and the one I ate was delicious. For lunch or dinner there aren't many option (only one or two), but you can get a nice lunch set with rice, pickles and miso just like in Japan (and yes the miso vegan).

Good knowledge of vegan options - Edit
When we went I asked which wagashi were vegan with the usual animal ingredient list and did mention the red food dye made from insects. The staff knew about this but still double checked and then told us about which wagashi had beetroot as food coloring and which ones had carmin.

Please do contact them about which items are vegan as they can assist you.
The matcha was very nice as it should be considering the price. The atmosphere was very relaxed but somewhat upscale.
Pros: Staff knowledgeable about vegan options , Relaxed atmosphere
Cons: Maybe upscale

A Japanese corner amidst busy Paris - Edit

Read moreNot everything is vegan but you can choose between a wide range of yokan (agar agar sweets) plus namagashi and mochi.
The food changes regularly, according to season, so you always have something new to pick!
You'll always have one or two vegan options among the lunch dishes, but be sure to ask it without the miso soup if you don't eat fish ( contains fish stock).
The place is popular so be sure to to book a table or at least come early.
