The food was great 💚

The food as I said was great! The plate was filled with different kinds of foods from fried mushrooms to simmered root veggies and steamed green vegetables 🥗 What I didn’t like was the room which was in my opinion too decorated for such a small place. A simpler decoration would have been much better 🙏

Surprising to find a place like this in Kiryu!

I was surprised when I discovered a fully-vegan option in Kiryu (a silk town, no less). It is small and unassuming, but the food was delicious (especially the little pudding) and very nutritious with several ingredients.

I had to wait a while for my food because there is only the cook managing the place and there were two old women in line before me who'd ordered several boxes (I also ordered two boxes), but we waited inside the shack (it was windy even inside) and talked in the meantime. Being a sustainable place, the takeaway come in thin cardboard boxes, so you can't store it in a backpack. But I took the train from Kiryu back home in Ashikaga and the food was still warm 1+ hours later.

Highly recommended!

Pros: Fully vegan

Cons: Not much to choose from since menu varies each day
