Would be a 5

5 stars for offering super healthy food in the Rivertowns! The menu has expanded and now includes fajita bowls served in lovely earthenware. The atmosphere has become cozy with soft lighting and beautiful flower filled vases on each table. Great value and service. It was busy on a Tuesday evening; this is good news for anyone searching for healthy delicious food in the area.

Meh

Cute space with a bunch of vegan options. Food was delivered too quickly. Burrito was Luke warm. Avoid the salsa. Has a really strange after taste that lingers.
I used to come here a lot but haven’t in awhile, menu is smaller now and food not as good. Would not come back.

Pros: Wait staff very friendly

Excellent vegan Mexican

Lots of good options at this place. 2 different kinds of vegan nachos (I got the super - really good!) and several bowls and burrito options. Includes vegan cheese and crema. Also good cocktails. Prices are not too bad given the servings. Service was friendly though a little slow - they seemed understaffed like everywhere. Nice outdoor seating.

Pros: Diverse vegan options, Friendly service, Delish

Bland

if you want americanized mexican food with plenty of vegan options, this is your place. the setting is cozy and gives a cute authentic mexican vibe & the servers are very nice. I got a pea like soup which was good but bland, as well as the vegan version of the Happy Jack burrito (beans, “cheese”, & rice). again, the burrito was good but very bland. tasted a little better when I added vegan sour cream. the vegan sour cream is yummy but more of a liquid than a cream, so prepare to get a little messy!! while service was polite, they were also very rushed & accidentally gave me the pea soup instead of the black bean soup i had ordered.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, yummy vegan cheese/sour cream , cute atmosphere

Cons: bland , service seems rushed

Get anything with the cauliflower!

The tacos or the bowl; both are incredible. The cauliflower is prepared in a sauce that is just incredible. I can’t get enough! The tempeh tacos are good too. The jackfruit is meh.

Pros: Good vegan, gluten free options. , Menu is labeled well

Cons: Parking sucks on that block

Solid Mexican food

I went over the summer with my family for my Mom's birthday dinner and we all found something. Friendly staff and tasty food. Ceiling fans need to be cleaned, dust came down while we were eating. Overall good, I will go back.

Pros: Friendly staff , Several vegan options

Cons: Limited seating

Would give 5 stars but Happy Cow only allows 4 stars for non-vegetarian restaurants.

Solid Vegan Mexican Option!

My husband is from Texas and I'm from California so we both grew up eating Mexican food. While Tomatillo isn't the best Mexican food I have ever had they have a great selection of vegan items (including vegan sour cream/cheese) and don't skimp on the portions. The food was flavorful and left us feeling satisfied. The atmosphere was quaint and charming. I would totally come back to Tomatillo as I feel the options are plentiful for vegans and the food is very good!

Pros: Lots of Vegan Options

Had the vegan Say Hey Kid burrito and it was really good!! Perhaps a little too spicy for most people but for me it was great, I love spicy food! It was so good that for a moment I doubted the burritos being vegan lol!!

Pros: Great friendly attentative staff, Several vegan options, Local farms used

really delicious

We went on Halloween while enjoying the many fall events in the area. The food is great. We tried the burritos and enchiladas. Make sure to specify if you want something vegan, as some of the items come with sour cream on top even if not stated on the menu. They have vegan sour cream and are happy to veganize everything. I'm looking forward to visiting again in the future.

Great Vegan Mexican in Westchester

This is my Go To place - that's not too far from home. Westchester is tough when it comes to finding Vegan Options. But Tomatillo makes it easy. They have tons of choices and the best Vegan Nachos Grande I've ever had!
