I'd give it 5 stars if the app would let me. - Edit
Definitely an upscale experience. I was a bit skeptical at first... My wife and I dont get "fancy" very often, but it was our 10 yr Anniversary, so I wanted something different than our occasional Thai and Indian cuisine.
Read moreTinker Street takes reservations, and they open at 5pm. Its not a big place, but plenty of seating. I made my reservations a week in advance and still only had bar seating available, if that tells you anything. Its 21 and over, since it's very much a bar type resteraunt, but don't let that fool you.
While browsing the menu, you are given a complimentary bit of wine. The menu is ever changing, Im not entirely sure if it's weekly or biweekly, but there are a lot of examples available online; however, the menu you find online may not be the menu of the evening. I was looking at open table, the app I made my reservations through, and the menu was not accurate.
No worries, there was atleast 2 vegan dinner plates, and 2 vegan appetizers/starters on each menu I found online, and they all sounded delicious.
The meal did not disappoint! A little pricier than our usual dinner dates, but Wow!!
We started with Korean Fried Mushrooms, which came with kimchi and pickled radish on a shallot pancake... it was truly amazing. So much flavor.
For our dinner, we both got the same. The Tandoori Ravioli was amazing!! Vegan and Gluten free pasta with a Tandoori Mushroom filling. To wash it down we also got us a bottle of Moscato De'Asti :)
We are already planning to come back, and this time we're bringing friends!
Pros: Great service, Plenty of seating, AMAZING FOOD!!
Cons: Was a little loud, Pricey (but worth it), Have to make reservations well in advance for tabl

Great Vegan Options & Excellent Service 👍 - Edit
We had a really enjoyable dinner here. The restaurant always has a handful of clearly marked vegan options, and everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared.
Read moreWe started with the soup of the day, then had the Korean mushrooms (made vegan by substituting regular kimchi with vegan kimchi) and the tandoori ravioli with tofu. Every dish was delicious, and the ravioli was definitely a standout.
My only small disappointment was that the soup and the ravioli ended up having essentially the same sauce. I wish our server had mentioned that when we ordered so we could have tried something with a different flavor profile.
One thing to note: the house hot sauces are much spicier than expected, so I’d recommend trying them a little at a time.
The service was excellent throughout the meal, and I really appreciated how accommodating they were with vegan substitutions. I’d definitely recommend Tinker Street to anyone looking for creative, high-quality vegan options in Indianapolis.

Multiple delicious vegan options!!! - Edit
Wonderful experience at Tinker St! I was so excited about their vegan options. I had the soup of the day (which I believe is always vegan) and the restaurant was kind enough to add tofu to the delicious carrot dish, which I ordered as my main. However, there was also a gorgeous-looking vegan entree (a cauliflower dish.) I was also thrilled to discover that there was a vegan dessert option: a scrumptious chocolate peanut butter dish with insanely delicious marshmallow that was made of aquafaba. I’m SO appreciative of restaurants that go out of their way to craft creative vegan options. Highly, highly recommend to vegans visiting Indy!

Great Food - Edit
The Korean bao buns were delicious, as was the roasted cauliflower. Apparently they change their menu seasonally and always have a vegan soup! Will definitely be back here!

Great food, great service. - Edit
The vegan soup was wonderful and we loved it. I had the lemon cappelletti which was absolutely delicious, and finished the meal with espresso. They have lots of nonalcoholic drink options, the white wine was great! The staff was knowledgeable about what was vegan in their establishment. We will 100% be back!

Several delicious vegan options - Edit
We have been to Tinker Street 4 times over the past year and it has exceeded our expectations--each time, we find new vegan options, all delicious, refined, and creative, with tastes designed to gently surprise your palate. It is open every day of the week, which makes it easy to visit when we are driving through Indianapolis on our way back home from family trips. There is a very pleasant terrace for summer and space under an awning should it rain. Great wine list and expert service. This is a top-of-the-line restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere.
