Serves meat, vegan options available. Greek restaurant serving traditional starters and main dishes with a selection of vegan options. Open Mon-Sun 12:00pm-3:30pm, 6:00pm-12:30am.
Decided to come here based on previous HappyCow reviews. I ordered the fava starter and lemon potatoes, because they were recommended by previous visitors. Both of these dishes were AMAZING. The fava starter was perfect and a must have dish! My partner who is not vegan also loved these. Price is slightly high but totally worth it. Good espresso to finish lunch (no non-dairy milks available)
Great setting and top quality vegan Greek food on main menu. - Edit
On a day trip to Symi, we were not expecting to find a good Vegan lunch, and we trudged past all the fishy harbour side restaurants feeling hot and a bit grumpy. Thalos is right at the end of the line. It was busy, but as soon as we stopped to ask if there was anything they had for Vegans we were impressed. The woman who spoke to us clearly understood what we wanted and pointed out several options on the menu. We waited for a table right by the sea so we could watch the lively fish in the really clear water. We ordered fava- fabulous taste; monastery salad, which was delicious bulgur wheat and green lentils; lemon potatoes and Greek salad without the cheese. Everything was great. Portions were very generous. We spent ages there and then it was time to amble back to the boat for the return journey. A very nice day.
All outside tables, on waterside, under canopies, stunning location. Buzzing atmosphere, very popular with french, locals and us! simply tremendous. There is a selection of vegan starters and mains. We tried the Greek Fava starter (not Fava beans) which was - trust me - perfect. I would consider a return holiday in Symi just for this dish. Prices were slightly higher than other places we ate in but this aspect evaporated after one visit. A ‘must do’ if you go to Symi.
