Would've been a 5-star rating if they were fully vegan/vegetarian! My friend and I had the vegan Portobello Road and the vegetarian version, and both were incredible. I usually get bored of mushroom burgers, but the combo of goat's cheese, roasted squash, BBQ sauce, and basil mayo made this better. Paired it with the sweet potato wedges, so good!

Great food and portion sizes. I tried the vegan med burger this time with vegan pesto mayo. Was so delicious and filling. They serve all their vegan burgers on a vegan bun (different to the normal buns they serve) it tastes close to brioche. The burger was juicy and fries crispy. I asked for extra pesto mayo to accompany my fries. My favourite place in whakatane. Will be back

Service was friendly and helpful. There was no problem removing a couple of unwanted ingredients from one burger. We had the barbecue jackfruit and slaw burger, and the felafel burger. Both came with chips and cost $19/$20. It was a good pile of food for lunch and we both thought our burgers were tasty! The brioche buns were nice. Points off because one portion of chips was poorly cooked, tasted like they had been reheated, brown and dry. That aside, would happily go back. It is pretty slim pickings for cafe-style lunch/breakfast in Whakatane so we were pleased to find The Wagon.

Went with my omni family. Mine was clearly labeled vegan (we got takeaway) but got suspicious halfway through eating. I’m pretty sure comparing that they gave me regular brioche so not vegan.
