The atmosphere is layed back, dimed lights, rustic interior.
It’s pretty far from Hamburgs city-center, once in a while a plane flys over the building, which was quite interesting to watch.
The staff is elaborated and very friendly as well as professional. They unsolicited explained the components of the staters to us.
We had a mix of dips and nachos as a starter to share, chili burger with coleslaw (attention, it actually is a burger with „chili sin carne“ topping, not the spice chili as we expected!) and Caesar salad with grilled peaches.
We really enjoyed it, the taste of the burger was excellent, dressing of the salad a little bland, but with all the other ingredients tasteful and fresh.
In expectation to eat one of the desserts for breakfast the next morning, I ordered the brownie dessert with chocolate cream and caramelized peanuts to go.
Meep... ate it straight away!
Little tiny portion for the price of 6,50€, but very yummy and I was already full enough haha.
Nice place with interesting menu and welcoming staff, recommended! With reservation!

We had the hummus plate as starter and couldn’t decide which of the hummus variety was most delicious! I had the antipasti as main dish and it was really good, specially the vegan ricotta was mouthwatering! My boyfriend had the vegan hamburger and it also tasted great. I think it’s a good place to introduce vegan food to non-vegans. Next time I’ll bring my in-laws

However, the Burgers we ordered came in neat unbleached paper boxes and were super delicious!
They took precaution measures very seriously :)

We had a very nice dinner here, good food with friendly staff. Unfortunately, it's not possible to reserve a seat here and it's quite a popular restaurant in Hamburg, so you have to be lucky to get a seat.

They have classics like a burger, but also creative foods you probably have never seen before in that combination. I had "a pot of winter" - to my surprise it was really served in a cooking pot. Tasted very well.

Has quickly become one of our go to favorite places in hamburg. Also wow-s the carnivore father in law. Especially lovely in summer when one can enjoy food and drinks in the yard. As of late more events that keep things interesting and fun (chalet cooking, summer party, x mas brunch).

Sadly the Vegan Eagle is quite a way out of town, so I was never able (or rather, willing) to visit this spontaneously. Finally made a plan with a friend though and visited on a Friday evening.

I ordered the Sauerkraut Spätzle and the Banoffee Pie for dessert. The Spätzle were amazing - a hearty dish made with fried onions, sauteed mushrooms and carrot cashew cream. The cashew cream especially was a great addition, tasted very cheesy.
The Banoffee was also very nice, it's rare to find such fancy vegan desserts - it had coconut foam, caramelized banana, vegan dulce de leche and some oat/pecan crumble.
With that I had a yuzu lemonade which was good, but not too different from regular lemon-lemonade.

We sat outside in the garden and had a great meal. Probably the best burger I ever had. It had spelt and a bunch of other things in it. They weren’t trying to make it taste like meat, just good food. And the rest of it is what made it great. terrific roll and tomato and lettuce an pickle and “secret sauce. We also had tacos that were fresh and delicious.

They have only one copy of the menu in English, and it was included inside a comic book. That’s different!

Our last meal on holiday and we were not disappointed, super tasty and fresh, so full no room for pudding!! We had a dragon poke starter which included seaweed and avo so felt healthy and I love satay flavours. Also cashew cheese bruschetta was fab. Loved to use of upcycled books as menus! For mains we had a green thai curry - yum more cashew (nuts) - and tagine with a sweet sultana chutney and flat breads. Fantastic all around! Tip: go hungry so you can have pudding

This has been our favorite cafe in Hamburg Fuhlsbüttel, also reachable from Norderstedt. Always a busy place, in the evening a lot of younger people and bikers. Beautiful view to the planes taking off. I always take a pretzel without butter and the power chai matcha (this is the only vegan chai powder they have, they have the David Rio powders). They have all plant milks.

Excellent food, service and a cosy atmosphere. The cashew bruchetta was very unique, with cashew cheese, a sweet glaze and green sprouts on top. The Rissoto Cakes were crispy and delicious and the greens balanced the dish well. The dessert plate sampler was the perfect ending to a lovely meal.

I did not expect to find such a great place around the airport area. The staff were friendly, the food was delicious, and the whole concept was amazing. The head chef Konsti, is a very talented and chatty man, with a very creative and sustainable mind. Everything from their menu to the furniture is made of pre owned items. The crowd could not be more mixed, and there is something for everyone. Definitely recommended.
