Such a treat! Delicious vegan food - Edit
We were traveling home to the east coast of Florida from the panhandle and randomly chose The Social Vegan as our lunch destination. Super friendly staff, great vibe inside and our food was absolutely delicious. Definitely add this place to your list!

Great spot!! - Edit
The food was great, the staff were friendly, and the building was nice. I had the street corn and chicken Philly. Both were delicious. My friend had the mushroom appetizer which was also great. Highly recommend.

The breakfast burrito was ok. The nachos were good and the waffles are good. But the thing that bothers me is that we asked about nuts in the food and they told us no. I ended up having an allergic reaction to something so beware if you have a nut allergy.

A must have stop for Southern comfort perfection - Edit
My partner and I tried the gumbo with shrimp and sausage, the fried oyster mushrooms, the chili queso fries and the chicken Philly sandwich. Every single thing was absolutely delicious and perfectly made. The textures and flavors were amazing and the oyster mushrooms were perfectly battered and fried- lightly crispy, and not super oily. The gumbo and chili queso also had notably fantastic flavor. We had a different plant based meat ingredient for every dish and it was all great. I was so impressed and happy with the satisfying quality of this true southern comfort meal.

Incredibly Delicious! - Edit
This is a new place in Tallahassee and it is incredible! The food is so tasty. My carnivore Aunt loved the chick'n and waffles. I had the buffalo chick'n sandwich and it was so good. The homemade ranch was just amazing! My wife had the buffalo cauliflower and absolutely loved it.

Good but overpriced - Edit
My absolute favorite sandwich here is the social-icious chick'in philly. It's so yum! I have also tried the taco salad and the quesadillas and they were good. Not a big fan of their burgers, though. Overall, I find the food is good (some things better than others), but it is overpriced. For example, burgers are ~$16 and don't come with a side 🙁

Staff and service - Edit
We were greeted coming in. Our order was taken quickly. I ordered the deluxe mushroom burger with sweet potato fries and an order of fried oyster mushrooms. Everything was so delicious! Sad we were just driving through because we were invited to come to karaoke starting every Friday. Def will come back!!!

Vegan comfort food - Edit
I'm visiting Tallahassee and trying (and supporting) as many vegan places as possible. I had really high hopes after reading the reviews, and was a bit disappointed.
Read moreI had the cheeseburger, made with Impossible burger patties. The burger itself was good, but the bun was meh. My husband had the chicken and waffle and didn't like it much - the waffle was gummy. The best thing we tried was the buffalo cauliflower, which is perfectly done and had a great sauce. Lunch came with a drink (the mango iced tea was good).
The restaurant was almost empty when we were there, and service was pretty fast. The space is open and light, and the selection of drinks looks really interesting.
Pros: Nice space and people, 100% vegan
Cons: A bit expensive for the amount of food

Good stuff! - Edit
This is a nice new spot in Tallahassee, and I’m glad to see that it seems to be getting a lot of traffic. There was a crowd on the day I went at lunch.
Read moreThe wait wasn’t too long. I originally ordered the Buffalo chick’n sandwich, but for some reason it was not available, so I switched to the vegan chik’n Philly sandwich. No problemo, I’m not that picky! And the Philly was great! It’s a big sandwich, had lots of meaty chik’n pieces (not sure what kind, or whether it’s made in house or not), grilled peppers and onions, and some lettuce and tomato, and cheez. I could take double the lettuce and tomato, but I ordered to go and didn’t check it before I left. Overall, a really good, filling sandwich to hit the spot when you want to treat yourself. Good comfort food.
The fries were good, not great. For the price, I was disappointed with the amount in the small takeout box…maybe they’d pile more on if you ate in-house. Idk.
All in all, I was happy, and ready to try it again. It is a tad pricey, but that seems to be the trend in a lot of spots these days. Think at least $20 for a sandwich and fries. Inflation? Some sandwiches come with a drink, some don’t…if that matters to you, make sure you read the menu carefully. I look forward to trying it again!
Pros: Big Philly sandwich , Friendly and attentive staff, Nice interior and exterior
Cons: Slightly pricey, Gimme mo fries!

Some Good Options - Edit
It is nice to see new vegan options in town. Parking was a little awkward but when we made a U-turn to get into the lot, we had several parking spaces available.
Read moreThe restaurant was clean and had a neat concept. I enjoyed the cocktail soothes and sampled a few. We ordered Chicken and waffles and a taco salad as a dine in option. Our hostess gave us to-go boxes but we overlooked that.
The Chicken and Waffles was a heavenly creation, perfectly spiced and tasty. The Taco Salad however did not agree with my husband. It was not seasoned at all, meaning that there was not any season, including salt. He had me try to verify this. The manager gave him spicy sauce to help but by that time he was over eating there.
We may give it another try in the future if I can persuade my husband to do so and blame his dish on a ‘fluke seasoning’ accident.
Pros: Great menu!, Enjoyed the cocktail options
Cons: Parking was awkward , Customer service needed for more accurate order, Spices were lacking altogether in one dish

Finally a vegan restaurant in Tally that is more than just sandwiches and salads! - Edit
Food and service was excellent! We had the vegan nachos, fried oyster mushrooms and fries. Very excited to return and try out more of the menu. The other vegan restaurants in Tally focus on just sandwiches and salads with a few other options, mostly just for their daily specials. I love that this place has more variety!

Pros: Lots of interesting vegan options, Excellent food, Excellent service
