The salad dressings are fantastic - Edit
I wasn't very hungry when I went so I only had salad and black beans. The salad and especially the dressing- mustard vinaigrette was fantastic. The beans could have been better.

We got the cluckin’ good chicken sandwich,  sweet and smoky mustard fried brussels, and  buffalo cauliflower bites. Everything was astounding and the buffalo cauliflower bites were especially mouthwatering. I usually like brussels sprouts but they took them to the next level!

The people who run this place are super nice. The food is great; I especially love the town gyro and the chick'n sandwich. Oh and the fried pickles! And the gigantic chocolate chip cookies. The truck rotates among various local breweries and it's fun.

This is our go to place whenever we visit Asheville. My husband enjoys a nice beer at one of the breweries where the truck is parked and we have a great meal! We’ve eaten many of the items on the menu and love it all! Appreciate a fully vegan place to eat with no worries of cross contamination!!

This was an incredible surprise stop for us. They were parked outside the Seven Clans brewery (would recommend this brewery as well!), which was super close to our hotel. We had originally planned to go somewhere else for lunch, but this was too perfect to pass up!
Read moreThe Town Gyro was amazingly delicious, the Kai Burger was nostalgic of an old fast food favorite, and the Buffalo Cauliflower bites were refreshing. Can highly recommend the brussels sprouts and the fries with onion! The cookie was delicious, but I wish they'd had the peanut butter bars - maybe next time!

I got the chikn sandwich which was soo good and the texture of chikn didn’t fell off. The bridle spirit has such a good flavor. And fried pickles with a sauce. I would end up back here.

Delicious food. They make everything from scratch. Made it even better that their patties and other proteins weren’t super processed faux meats. The chick’n sandwich is amazing. The fries with sautéed onions were equally great. We started with the nachos and thoroughly enjoyed those, as well!

I visited this food truck late on a Saturday and they were sold out of almost everything. I wanted to try the gyro but it was not available so I decided to wait until they were open again. I went back on Tuesday and the food was delicious. I had the gyro with fries and they were both great. I also had the brussel sprouts and they were my favorite. I will definitely go back to this food truck when I visit the area in the future.

They start with an in-house made “chick’n” patty (I love it that they make almost everything themselves!) that’s been “buttermilk” fried on a house-made bun. They top it with smoked onion jalapeño jam, pickles, and “Alabama white bbq sauce” to complete this super yummy sammy! I opted for the hand-cut fries with smoked onions for the choice of sides. I love supporting this business…great food and really nice owners…not that a lot of mean people would start a vegan food truck! If you’re ever in Asheville, NC, check their schedule on the website and find them…your tastebuds will thank you, and so will the animals!

Read moreThe Brussel sprouts are soooo good. I’ve yet to try anything on the menu I didn’t like, but highlights for me have been the gyro, crabby patty sandwich, and the jackfruit bbq fried green tomato sandwich.
Service is also really fast!
They’re usually out all weekend now at great spots, so it’s easy to find them from their instagram page.

We really enjoyed the food from this vegan truck! BBQ mushroom wrap, jackfruit “crab” cakes, their fries are great also! They were at The Highlands East Asheville, which was a nice spot to spend a couple hours and enjoy local craft beer/cider.

If 5 stars was an available option, I would give it! I was vegan for several years, and am really passionate about plant-based alternatives. Everything I got here was AMAZING! I’m going to eat here all the time. Plus, best cashew queso I have ever had. Definitely add it to your order! My food was prepped and packaged quickly and served fresh. Cannot express enough how great this food truck is.

I dined at The Smokin' Onion when they were parked at The Brew Pump on Haywood Rd. The truck is beautifully decorated with bright artwork, the menu is easy to read (vegan items are clearly marked), and the ordering/paying process is a breeze. We ordered the featured special, a 'Fungi Bahn Mi' sandwich (made w/fried lobster mushrooms) and the 'Crispy Smoked Onion Petals' starter.
Read moreOur food was ready in 5 minutes and brought out nice and hot. The onion petals were light and crisp with a very nice smoke flavor and were served w/a tasty vegan ranch dip. The flavorful bahn mi was on a lovely toasted hoagie bread and had perfectly-fried mushrooms, mushroom pate, fresh cilantro, pickled carrot & cucumber, and vegan spicy mayo.
Several other vegan items are on the menu that I will for sure be back to try. (Seitan Cheeze Steak & Buffalo Cauliflower Bites-I'm lookin' at you!)
