Had its own vegan menu with loads of choices. The food and service were fantastic. Even had loads of vegan cakes. The staff were fantastic and even took the time to write down a cake recipe for my wife. Could not recommend it enough. Might be worth booking as it is only small

Awesome vegan selection… - Edit
A hidden gem In Lochgilphead, The Smiddy is tucked down a lane just off the Main Street. Definitely worth seeking it out, the staff are lovely, very clued up and incredibly helpful. There’s a separate vegan menu and everything we tried was delicious. Loads of choice, a variety of milks, vegan spread and vegan cheese available. They also have a selection of lovely home made salads many of which were vegan too.

Lovely cafe with several vegan options - Edit
Lovely little cafe located down a lane behind the Main Street. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about vegan options. There is MORE THAN ONE CHOICE 😃 I had the delicious lemon hummus with pitta bread and salads, my husband had the chilli non carne with nachos and vegan cheese. There is also a chickpea burger (which is very tasty and home made, We had that on a different visit) and the soup is often suitable for vegans, Best of all there is DESSERT - three different warm sponge puddings, lemon, chocolate or coffee. Usually a flapjack as well. There is also soya milk if you fancy a coffee. Great wee cafe offering a good choice for vegans. Makes us so happy as we live nearby and run a vegan B & B 😃

A perfect lunch for a rainy day - Edit

Delicious food in a place with not many options - Edit
I came here for lunch today after finding it on HappyCow and was really pleasantly surprised to find that even though there aren’t that many vegan options on the menu and the menu isn’t labelled for vegan options, there were a few items and the one that I had, the chickpea burger, was absolutely delicious and came with a range of tasty fresh salads. They have soya milk, vegan salad dressing and vegan margarine on offer, are helpful and knowledgable about veganism and the food they do have is very high quality. A great wee cafe in a place with not that many options for vegans!

Vegan options - Edit
This is a good value little cafe. Staff know what is vegan, so just ask. When I was there I had the choice of a burger, a chilli or a ratatouille. There were also a couple of vegan cakes and soya milk available.
