super fresh and yummy - Edit
We had a meal made of sides but it was super yummy! We had a cabbage salad, root veg salad, mushrooms on rice and hommus and home made bread, shared between 2 which was the perfect amount. Super lovely staff and the food was so fresh and tasty! The atmosphere is really nice and cozy, such a cute little place! Would be great if there was a vegan main dish though as what we had was almost the only vegan things.

Nice but pricey - Edit
I went the night before I left when I had spent most of my Bosnian currency and this restaurant only takes cash so I had to get something cheap haha! I got the vegetable soup and nettle bread. Soup was delicious, bread a little stale but ok. Would have loved to try more! I appreciate having the vegan options labelled, makes life much easier.

Best vegan restaurant in Sarajevo! - Edit
We've visited most of the well rated vegan-friendly restaurants in Sarajevo (except Karuzo 🥲) and we liked this one the most! The cozy living room atmosphere, the super cool and friendly waiter and especially the food! 🤤
Read moreThey are kind of specialized in nettle pesto and other nettle products. We loved it! They offer a handful of vegan dishes. I had the 'veganski sahan' with 'no-meat balls' and it was just freaking delicious. I read a comment that the food was a little oily and I'd agree to that but I actually liked that 😄
The only thing is that this restaurant is also quite expensive for Bosnian standards. But regarding the food the prices seemed appropriate.

Nettle donuts are great but the mains were too oily - Edit
The nettle donuts for starters are delicious: surprisingly not oily for deep fried food. They're served with hummus and a delicious nettle pesto.
Read moreWe ordered 2 mains (of the 4 vegan options): eggplant in a tomato sauce and stuffed vegetables. Both had a similar flavor base and unfortunately both too oily. We had to order bread to balance it out.
The restaurant is quite nice with jazz playing (although the same song played the entire time we were there). We didn't have a reservation because we arrived just before 6pm but it sounds like you generally need one for later than that.

Leckeres lokales Essen in gemütlicher Atmosphäre - Edit

Diverse ottime scelte vegan, ricette tradizionali delle famiglie bosniache. Verdura di stagione prese da contadini locali. Personale e luogo molto accoglienti. Riservare prima di andare.

Yum - Edit
The place was a bit hard to find because of two different names
Read moreBut look for a yellow building
The opening times are rather weird 2-4pm and then in the evening
We came in the evening but we still got a table
The place is very cozy and the food is delicious
The seasonal vegetable soup was a bit too parsnip’y but the humus with nettle buns were yummy, tho a bit to oily
I came another day to get the baklava but they didn’t have it only vegan apple pie
The only thing that annoyed me was the fact that you can only pay in BAM
Pros: labeled vegan food, Interior
Cons: No card payment , A bit oily

Fantastic - Edit
My first experience of traditional Bosnian food with a Nettle twist did not disappoint… clearly marked menu of lovingly prepared dishes, many of which include nettles, a well known under appreciated superfood, are both tasty and filling. In fact do not underestimate the portion size… my usual 2 starters and a main approach left me stuffed and very happy.

Culinary and cultural experience - Edit
I can only say good things about this place. I tried the vegan sahan and it was absolutely delicious. Best thing I have eaten in years. This topped with the amazing staff made of my my meal here a true cultural experience. We exchanged views on food, culture, traditions and even got recommendations for a great book. If in Sarajevo, I wouldn't miss this place for the world!

The owner is and old lady who clearly is the best cook in town, my friend had a vegetarian moussaka that was delicious and I had the vegan Saha wich was dolmas and some rice balls with Nettle pesto. Soul food. I didn’t get the chance to try the vegan desserts as there weren’t available but I would definanatey come again. The place is very cozy and tastefully decorated and the service was really quick

Our favorite place in Sarajevo - Edit
This was my husband's and my favorite place in Sarajevo. I loved that the theme of the place was centered around one plant and the different ways that the plant was used to highlight each dish. The nettle bread in particular was really good! We shared a few dishes, including a few of the salads, which were amazing! We even had the dessert (we are not dessert people typically) and were so impressed! Everything is marked on the menu, which is nice. Please try to nettle pesto and nettle bread!

Not the best for vegans - Edit
They have couple of options for vegans but the food is very oily and missing spices. Also I am not convinced that everything marked as vegan is indeed vegan.
