Delicious lunch - Edit
Booked the rabbit for a group of five ladies for lunch. I was confused that the items marked vegan only seemed to be vegan option. Therefore the vegan feta salad has no feta on it! With this in mind I made my choices which were all delicious. I had the stuffed mushroom which was one large mushroom with wilted greens and tofu cubes on top. It was delicious. I had a yummy salad for main - chicory and orange. It was fresh, delicious and really zingy with lots of orange dressing and salt crystals. It was very light so only a good choice as I was having multiple courses. My fruit crumble and vegan ice cream was also great. Washed down with an Americano! Huge restaurant. Attentive staff. Plenty of options but needed the separate vegetarian menu which they don’t seem to give everyone which is a pity because the dishes would be nice for anyone and why should everyone not have the option of eating more veg. My friends’ meat and fish dishes looked a little lacking in the old vegetable department.

Not bad, but too expensive - Edit
Ordered the flatbread (starter) and 2 sides as wasn’t overly hungry. Everything tasted fine, but wasn’t amazing. The mushrooms were really dry. Would have expected better considering the price.
Read moreThe venue is really lovely and nice vibes. Perhaps the other food options would have been better.
Staff were attentive and not annoying. Would go back to try other dishes, for sure.
Pros: Good vegan selection, Good location for Belfast international airport, Nice venue and decor - fancy
Cons: Expensive, Food wasn’t amazing

Lovely dinner - Edit
We’ve been to the Rabbit a few times now and have enjoyed our meal each time. They have a separate vegan menu and the menu changes quite frequently too. It’s quite pricey, but worth it is a treat/for a special occasion!

Expensive but tasty - Edit
There is no doubt that this is a lovely hotel and whilst I very much appreciate that there is a separate vegan menu the choices are limited. I think you could probably ask for a bigger portion of some of the starters as a main course. I have had the salted chilli tofu as a main before at the Galgorm hotel, which also owns The Rabbit. I ordered the puttanesca orzo which was very nice but quite expensive for what you get. The crumble with ice cream was very tasty, also there was dairy alternative milk for tea and coffee. All in all a nice meal but as with any fancy place that is what you are paying for. This was a birthday treat, I wouldn’t be rushing back all the time. Some of the rest of my group had pizza, I would probably ask if they could make me a vegan pizza as a main if I was to go there again.

Disappointing, unhealthy & overpriced - Edit
Unimaginative vegan menu. I had the avocado and hummus starter which was tasty but way too much oil. The cous cous main was awful - no seasoning or flavour and drenched in oil (which they state is genetically modified on the menu) and way too much salt. I couldn’t finish my main because I felt so bad eating that much oil and salt.
Read moreThe pasta main was again - tasteless and overcompensating with oil, salt and chilli.
Service was fine but food was very disappointing and over-priced, felt ripped off.
