I just ate here the other day. I bit into my sandwich made of millet bread which tasted like honey at the very same time the waitress told another patron that they have honey. Nothing tastes like honey except honey, don't insult my intelligence by stumbling over your words trying to tell me it's agave, which is what waitress did. You shouldn't claim Vegan Restaurant if you have, serve and use honey. Just be honest!

The portions were super tiny and the food wasn't tasty enough for the price. My boyfriend and I left the table hungry. We ended up going straight to Cantina Louis to get a huge plate of fresh guacamole. Really expected more from such a cool place.

We went about 6 years ago and this place was AMAZING! We weren’t even vegan yet and we took out 2 small children. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was intoxicating and the presentation was impressive. All that being said, when we left we felt that we would never return just because of the price. We spent about $100 for the 4 of us and the children didn’t really eat much but we did order all kinds of food and desert. Still...too much money for vegetables!
Saturday night we decided to celebrate and as Vegans we decided to go back to the great vegan restaurant from years ago. Things have changed. The place was run down. The seating was dirty and had goose feathers coming out of the pillows (Vegan?). The service was slow and not very enthusiastic. It was 6pm on Saturday night and the place wasn’t even half full. The food was decidedly not very good. Everything we ordered was just OK and the prices were still sky-high. In fact, we ordered the Buddha Bowls and both my wife and i found that the rice was crunchy and undercooked or old. My wife said it was going to destroy her dental work. Our food server returned and my wife told her the problem. She said she would: “look into it”, as if we were lying. She then returned (I guess after verifying our claim with management!!) and told us they would DISCOUNT the dish. Not mine only hers!!!! So the bowl of rice, veggies and some tofu was DISCOUNTED from $9 (pricey to begin with) to $6. What a slap in the face! I have travelled all over the world and dined in some of the best and worst restaurants but that is a first: A DISCOUNT on an ill-prepared bowl of vegetables. Wow! Never again Present Moment Cafe will the shadows of my family or any of my acquaintances, darken your door. Very sad.
