Top much sugar, no tasty - Edit
I was really happy to have found a vegan spot in this market. The place turned out to be very disappointing. It was overly sweet and had no flavor other than sugar. The woman serving wasn’t particularly friendly. It’s the first time in my life that I’ve thrown away a dessert I had just bought, but it’s also the first time I’ve eaten one so tasteless and sugary. Not worth it.

Vegan & Gluten Free Treats! - Edit
We were visiting London from the U.S. and were browsing the Spitalfield Market where we discovered the Polka Dot Bakery. Sadly, I didn't take any photos, but what a selection of baked goodies! Each item was generously portioned and each of our desserts was so so yummy 😋. Highly recommend!

A bit disappointing - Edit
I’ve given an extra star because it’s a vegan place but the cookie products I’ve tried have been disappointing. Most recently had the filled cookie pie/cake/massive cookie and it didn’t have much flavour. I don’t think I’ll be back sadly.

The Polka Dot Bakery - Edit
I can't believe it's gluten-free! The cherry bakewell tart was so delicious that I ate the whole thing... I hate gluten-free but always give gluten-free options a shot and always end up throwing them away after one bite. This woman is working magic here!!! Head down to The Polka Dot Bakery immediately and try one of these delicious tarts! I'm upset I didn't try her tarts sooner, but I'll definitely be back. Cute touch with the polka dot packaging too!

Too much sugar and oil - Edit
Too much sugar and oil on every bite. We went encouraged by seeing other reviews. We bought 5 different cakes and couldn't finish anything. It was just too much for us, we like sweets but it was to the extreme. The macadamia biscuit had a lot of salt.

I’ve visited this stall a few times when in Spitalfields Market, I really appreciate there being a fully vegan stall. The lady who owns the bakery and runs the stall is an absolute sweetheart.
Read moreAll allergens and ingredients are clearly listed in front of each product which makes things so helpful. Everything I’ve bought has always been fresh and lasted several days.
The portions are massive so I tend to cut them in half which helps me savour them for longer.
She sells cookie sandwiches which are very naughty, brownies, and cake pots. Apparently if you get there early enough she also sells off cuts in boxes.

I loveee the brownies here! The salted caramel one is the best! The raspberry and white Choc is also good! There's so many flavours of brownies and cookies😄including sandwich cookies! Perfect after some savoury food at Spitalfields

This is a must visit if you are in London. We fell upon it accidentally when desperately seeking treats that weren't just a token flapjack or red velvet cupcake. There were a selection of 12. 6 brownies and 6 cookie sandwiches. It was difficult to chose which flavours so we settled with lemon cheesecake and banoffee sandwich cookies. They really hit to spot!

wow wow wow. tried the lemon and blueberry cheesecake – so filling but so good I ate it all in one go! need to return to try the brownies... such an amazing selection of options!
Read morealso love that the owner sells boxes of scraps/offcuts too (although you need to get there early to get these) – really great idea to reduce wastage (and they taste just as good, if not better being a bit mushed up too).

The lady who runs this market stall was friendly when I visited, and the cookies, brownies and overall variety of delicious treats was very good. The prices were also reasonable considering how large the portions were and that it's in central London. I'll stop by whenever I'm next in the area!

I got it via too good to go, but i got a salted caramel brownie, peanut butter brownie and a giant chocolate chip cookie. The lady that runs the stall is so!! sweet!! and the food is amazingggg.
