Memorable Afternoon Tea - Edit
Obviously it’s the Ritz so it’s special. They brought regular milk at first but we caught it, and the cake tray that comes by is also not vegan, but they gave us an extra cake. The scones and cream were a highlight. Worth it for the experience.

Really impressive vegan afternoon tea - Edit
This is third time I've eaten here andy first as a vegan. The afternoon tea was absolutely delicious, the scones and 'flotted' cream, the delicious cakes and even the array of sandwiches. Brilliant!

If you are going to have an afternoon tea on your birthday then you might as well go for the best. Of course you will need to dress up (jacket and tie for men is required) and you may feel a bit like bit player on a big movie set...but it does mean an afternoon of luxury.
Read moreAll of the waiters were fully aware that we had requested vegan and they were very careful to ensure that there were no mix-ups as they distributed copious amounts of tea, sandwiches, cakes and scones.
The deal is that you get a never ending supply of everything until you have had enough...and even then they'll make up a doggie bag for you.
The décor of the Palm Court is chandeliers and glitz accompanied by hit tunes by the harpist and when you finally step back out into the real world the doorman will happily flag down a cab to whisk you away. Such fun !
