GF that tastes good 🥳 - Edit
Really delicious all vegan food, served by lovely people. 3 cakes for £10. Lovely to be in an all-vegan cafe where everything is gluten free.

Incredible - Edit
We’ve been to The Nook twice and both times it did not fail us.
Read moreThe portion sizes are good and the prices are average especially for vegan treats.
Most treats are £3.75 each and they have a deal of 3 treats for £10.50
The woman who runs this place is extremely lovely and helps give that homely small town feel to it which makes you want to go back.
5 star experience here!
It’s vegan and gluten free so it caters to a wide variety of customers and still tasted great!

Lovely cakes and scones - Edit
We went here when we were at the market and it was great. The person there was so friendly and the cakes were all delicious. We had the Bakewell blondie, rocky road and millionaires shortbread.

Taste sensation. - Edit
This is not the first time I have been to The Nook. This time I ordered the pine nut, spinach and 'ricotta' roll and Persian cake both were outstanding. Enjoyed every mouthful so full of flavour. I cannot wait to go back. Highly recommended.

Now based inside Durham Indoor Markets - Edit
I enjoyed a beautiful afternoon tea in their new location inside Durham Markets and have many times enjoyed their sweet and savoury delights. My favourites have to be the scotch egg and egg mayo sandwich for savoury and any of their lemon curd products such as the tarts or blondies for dessert. Owner Taryn is friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend making a visit soon, you will not be disappointed.

Transported me to my childhood - Edit
We’ve bought something from here every time we see them at a market. Everything is always delightful. One time in particular stands out: barnard castle. We bought a strawberry tart and it took me back to my childhood with my now departed Nanna. I’ve never experienced such a emotional reaction to food, but I thank them for it.

My head is scrambled - Edit
Grabbed lunch here today and it was delicious but I was so distracted and confused by how realistic the scotch egg was. I took it back to work and cut into it and absolutely did not expect a runny yolk, I was beside myself. HOW???????!!!!!

Mann Oh Mann - Edit
Fabulous market vendor selling a delightful array of sweet and savoury treats and snacks. We picked up 3 sweet treats for £10 and a few savoury items (scotch egg, red pepper slice and a scone). I’d advise you get there early as a lot of the products we were originally after like sausage rolls were sold out by 2pm. Highly recommended if you’re about in Durham on a Saturday afternoon.
