I’d fly back to Tassie just to come back here! - Edit
The atmosphere is super cosy and relaxing, the staff are friendly, and the food is incredible!
Read moreReally good selection of vegan items both savoury and sweet. The one thing I noticed was that the serving size of my vegan eggs benedict was a bit small, would’ve liked a second slice of toast and more mushrooms.
Not a big deal though as the quality was incredible!

A poetic hidden gem. - Edit
Brilliant, hidden gem of a shop that’s easy to miss if you’re not looking for it. There is a great selection of vegan and vegetarian baked goods. There are two separate, dedicated menus for vegetarians and vegans. The staff are incredibly friendly and we’re helpful to recommend options when I asked to make some substitutions to a dish. The restaurant itself also has a very relaxing atmosphere and a good deal of seating. There are canvas boards for customers to write messages. Very wholesome.
Read moreThey serve imitation cow and chicken dishes that mimics traditional western dishes like chicken schnitzel with waffle, beef burgers, and a big breakfast with vegan sausage and egg.

I ordered the vegan eggs benny with vegan bacon, it was delicious! My partner ordered the vegetarian option and said it was one of the best he had tried.

Incredible food and atmosphere - Edit
Came here for breakfast during our time in Hobart and were blown away by the food and relaxed vibe. Breakfast and coffee were great and there are heaps of books to flick through while you wait. Loved it so much we came back when we returned to Hobart after a loop of Tassie.

The food was really good, but especially the desserts. Had the black sesame cake and I’m obsessed! The vegan menu is awesome with so much to choose from, and the drinks were great as well.

Amazing! - Edit
Over the years I have been disappointed by Hobart’s vegetarian and vegan options, but The Little Poet changed all that. The food was exceptional and with separate vegetarian and vegan menus it was easy to order a meal with confidence. Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Lovely setting. I wish the owners much prosperity.

My Shangri-la - Edit
Found my Shangri-la away from home. It's a vegetarian patisserie in downtown hobart called The Little Poet. Featuring a big vegan menu, smooth jazz and good vibes.

A must visit - Edit
Very cute inside - super relaxed. I had the vegan eggs Benny. Really delicious! My only advice would be to order some sides. It’s very reasonably at $12 and therefore for big eaters like myself needs to bulked out a little! I won’t make that mistake tomorrow when I return!! The chia is served in these cute bear cups which I loved! Definitely give it a go

A must visit. - Edit
Truly incredible. If I lived in Hobart I would go every day. The styling and atmosphere are reminiscent of cozy cafes in Japan. The food is incredible, I could eat everything on the menu multiple times over. If you can get there on a Saturday, please do, and try their bubble tea. We had the bacon and egg on toast, the eggs benedict, the ham and cheese bagel, the banana crepes, the TGY tea and the vegan cheesecake. All to die for, all 10/10.

New vegan/vegetarian cafe - Edit
New cafe in Hobart, lovely decor and quiet atmosphere (in old sirens restaurant). Friendly staff and great to have a vege option for breakfast but too expensive with small portions (half the plate spinach leaves). To succeed will need to reduce prices and increase portions
