Fantastic pub/restaurant for vegans and veggies!

The Hermit has just changed hands and is now being run by a vegetarian lady who has fantastic ideas for vegans and veggies!
As a vegan I find it quite difficult eating out but The Hermit has an amazing selection of food for vegans. And not just boring vegi dishes with the cheese removed! Actual inspiring tofu dishes with loads of flavour and colour all presented beautifully.
There is a great breakfast menu too and The Hermit stocks soy milk so soy lattes are available, yum!
The venue itself is stylish yet still very welcoming and cosy. They have an open fire and a soft seating area. They also have a massive garden area which I imagine will be lovely in the summer.
I really recommend this place to vegans, veggies (and meat eaters).
The owner is lovely! And her Dad, who is often there helping out, is pretty funny too! x

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
(I would give 5 stars but Happy Cow only allows 4 stars for establishments that serve meat.)

Pros: Loads of VEGAN options, Friendly staff, Cosy and cool

Great for Vegans

I went on a Monday evening, which is the day where the menu choice is reduced, I however had nearly as many options as meat-eaters. So quite good. Vegan desserts (custard, apple pie, ice cream, ...) as well and vegan wine. I took the white which was not super great with our meal as too fruity/sweet, it was the only vegan wine choice. Food was great tasty & filling, staff very friendly and aware of Vegan requirements. The menu is not clearly labelled for vegans but staff is aware of requirements and happy to answer questions.

Pros: Many vegan options, vegan desserts, friendly staff

Cons: only one vegan wine option, no vegan labelling on menu
