Serves meat, vegan options available. Will accommodate vegans by substituting ingredients. For example, the vegetable terrine can be vegan by substituting the cheese with hummus; the vegetable panini can be vegan by choosing another bread and using hummus. Or get a falafel pita sandwich. Cooks fries in dedicated coconut oil. Ask for vegan dessert. Open Tue-Sat 11:00am-10:00pm, Sun 11:00am-5:00pm.

Great options and not a bad price - Edit
Known as "the best restaurant in San Ignacio" has a few options on the menu which are vegan and for Belize prices, it's not that bad. It's a proper restaurant and really nice service too. I had chickpea curry, was tasty, my bf got the pizza said it was very nice for veggies too. Nothing in the menu is labelled as vegan, it most ingredients are listed. I got the chickpea curry which was a coconut milk based with tofu, which seemed pretty vegan, but unsure if something like the cauliflower tacos might have mayo or something, so make sure to check!!
Read morePros: Not too pricey (by Belize standards), Couple of options
Cons: Serves meat, Nothing is actually "labelled" vegan

Really Solid Food - Edit
My wife and I was told that this place has the best mojitos in San Ignacio. We stopped by as we were exploring downtown and I was excited to see that they had a few vegan options, considering that the country is very meat heavy. We were advised to make a reservation to come back for dinner as it can get crowded.
Read moreWe came back for dinner the next day and was not disappointed. There is not a vegan appetizer so I ordered a salad. With some salt, pepper, and the balsamic dressing it was a great start to the meal. For my entree I tried the chickpea curry and it was fantastic. My only complaint is that it was kind of a small portion and I could have eaten more. Since we were taking a tour to Tikal the next day and I was unsure about the food situation, I also ordered the Gado Gado (added crispy tofu) to go. I just had to try it warm and it was absolutely amazing.
If you’re in the area and need a good vegan meal that is not simply rice and beans and veggies, give this place a try!
Oh, the mojitos are great as well 😊
Pros: Several vegan options , Good drinks , Friendly and great service
Cons: No vegan appetizers , No desserts

Incredibly good! - Edit
My husband and I went here to eat today. Although there were only two vegan items on the menu, they were both incredibly good. We had the Indonesian dish, Gado Gado, and the Tomato Curry Chick Peas.
Read moreEverything about the place was lovely. From the caraf of cucumber water, the rich, fresh iced tea, the kind attentive staff, to the perfect dishes, we really loved the whole experience.

Great couple of options - Edit
Friendly staff who knew what vegan was, we ordered the gado gado noodles and the tomato and eggplant pasta (just get no cheese as the previous review mentioned). Think there was another option or two but we didn’t get them. Food we had was great! Some of the best we’ve had in Belize.

Cons: May need to book, Nothing labelled as vegan

Not the best but great option in San Ignacio - Edit
Like most places in Belize, will substitute ingredients for you, but beware, they make mistakes! My bf ordered pasta, telling them we're vegan and he would like to take the cheese off. It came with the cheese, they remade it without cheese, but we then realize the bread had butter on it. They were very upset about their mistake.
Read moreHowever! Food here is great quality, very tasty and they have 2 vegan options (without requiring modifications) on the menu. They tell us they sometimes have vegan chocolate cake. We also came here earlier during the day and got vegan pizza and vegan panini.
We're here during Easter and we find this our best option (Buddha bowl Belize is closed). Honestly they're not used to catering to vegans but very willing to learn.
Pros: Handful of vegan options, Happy to substitute ingredients, Takes visa
Cons: Makes mistakes

Nice ambiance - Edit
I originally posted this business on happy cow as they had always been very accommodating. During covid adjustments did not favor non meat eaters. Hopefully things will return to good.

Not many options - Edit
I was hopeful about going here with my group after seeing it was on Happy Cow, but there were very few options, and even fewer appealing ones. The server also didn't seem to know what vegan was which made me less confident.
Read moreI opted for a curry, which was super spicy! Luckily I like spicy food, and found it tasty, but be aware if you don't!

It Would Be Perfect If All Vegan... - Edit
Yes, beautiful setting. Disappointed so many animal based selections offered. After endless questions about Vegan content, I ended up getting a simple salad. The dressing looked good, yet when I asked if it had honey, they said yes. They got me the 'ol reliable balsamic vinegar & oil dressing. Spent much time explaining the need for totally vegan restaurants, which the chefs & staffed took in with polite manner.
Read moreThe entire problem with Belize, is the outdoor barbeques along the streets and the inquisitive tourists who settle for it. Outdoor street barbeques smoke is invasive and even walking to a vegan friendly restaurant is spoiled by having to pass by the smoke.
I would return for there salad for sure.
Pros: easy to walk to uptown a bit, lovely green setting
Cons: serves meats

A few good options, beautiful spot, a little pricey - Edit
A few vegan/veg options - we got the vegetarian wontons (very good), gado gado (pretty good but a little oily), and my partner got the veggie burger which I don’t think is vegan and loved it. Beautiful spot and good service.

A lovely lunch spot though pricey. - Edit
Decided to try this place as close to my hotel and based on the reviews. After the waiter had mentioned the daily specials, I told him that I was vegan. I chose the felafel in a pita with Israeli salad and tzatziki. When the dish arrived and I look at the tzatziki, I asked if there was any dairy in it as looked creamy. He said there was mayonnaise. I told him that I had mentioned that I was vegan. He went back to change it. He informed me that the dish would come out with no dressing but I didn’t want it to be dry. I explained how easy it was to make a tahini dressing with water, tahini with lemon juice etc. I asked if easier to change my dish ( it was quite busy and had waited a while for food to come out) but server told me that it would take longer so stayed with initial order. Felafel sandwich was delicious as was the vegan dressing they made. Was disappointed how small the portion for Israeli salad was ( a few forkfuls if that) and informed the waiter of this and was brought out some more which I appreciated. It is a lovely place with beautiful setting, food is fresh and there are several vegan options just make sure that what you are getting is completely vegan. Unfortunately no vegan dessert today😞
