Market wonder!

Tried this when visiting area and choice, service and quality of grub was amazing!

SO much SCRUMMY vegan choice

Everything here is vegan and everything looks great. But there is just too much for me to try everything, so you’ll have to find out for yourself. They make it themselves down in Darlington. The stall is open in the square in Durham at weekends (they also have a permanent place in the indoor market). Loads of choice- took me ages! Tried burger and fruit cake which were v good, and so generous that I can now barely walk (AND I shared the burger with a seagull).

Good riddance to the days when we had to be grateful to patronising caterers, who with long suffering looks, demonstrated their broad-mindedness and tolerance by rustling us up some pasta with ketchup. Or an apple. They are absolutely terrified now. I hear they want to reclaim the word burger as they feel it’s misleading if they burger isn’t part of an animal (Really?!). Oh well. To be absolutely clear, and so you’re not disappointed, these “plant-based disks” are vegan, non animal, ethical.

My favorite food stall

I like to spend a few days in Durham every year and this is the first place I head for now. Everything I've tried so far has been delicious, as well as reasonably priced. The puy lentil roulade tastes amazing and is very filling.

Pros: Everything is vegan and delicious. , The staff are enthusiastic, cheery and friendly. , Doesn't cost the earth.

Recommend to everyone

The variety available is just so overwhelming. I bought 2x sausage rolls (marmite and Cheeze, apple and ale), curried potato pie and lotus biscuit brownie. I've since eaten the apple sausage roll and the brownie and feel like I've died and gone to heaven. Everything was beautifully presented, tasty and reasonably priced.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Easy to find, Cheapish

Fantastic vegan food

I come here basically every day and have tried everything there is to offer - without a doubt some of the best vegan food, hot and cold, that I've ever had, and reasonably priced. Really lovely and friendly staff too! Highly recommend.

Great food outlet

What a fabulous find! We had burgers and pastries and cakes to finish and they was all delicious and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.

Amazingly Fresh

What a perfect outlet in amongst the other foodie places!!! Absolutely fabulous food. Had a mix of the sausage rolls (ALL OUT OF THIS WORLD) and a selection of cakes (MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM). Sorry for the capitols but cannot emphasize the magic on my taste buds. Will always return for more. Thank you wonderful staff and management for your placement of outlet and products you offer. The sausage rolls are fabulous!!

I ordered the tomato and cheese sausage rolls which are absolutely delicious. I also tried the roulade which I used on Christmas Day lunch - very tasty.

Fantastic!

While in Durham we’re trying to taste everything from this amazing and wonderfully vegan market stall. Everything is SO good and the staff are friendly. Vegan chilli burger is a favourite and the Viennese Whirls are delicious - and the cookies are indulgent!

Pros: So much choice!

love it

They have loads of different foods... all of them so good!! Their burgers (market place outside) is one of the best i've had. Their sausage rolls is also one of my favourites.
Dessert-wise, I am very fond of the apricot flapjack.
The staff is very friendly too.
Would warmly recommend!!

Delicious

I always head here if in town for lunch. The Seitan kebabs are amazing. I've also ordered whole cakes from here which are huge and delicious and impressed my non vegan colleagues. Always such friendly service.

Pros: All plant based, Lots of options for all budgets, Tray bakes etc with long shelf life also available

Vegan Warriors

At last the opportunity arose to try out the Green Guerrilla Deli and it didn't disappoint. After a quick sample of oreo brownie, which was delicious by the way, we ordered the seitan kebab (£5) and a pulled pork pie that had been reduced to just £1. The seitan kebab was superb and the texture and seasoning of the seitan was outstanding. The accompanying slaw was delicious too. The filling of the pulled pork pie was very nice too but the pastry was lacking texture and I probably wouldn't buy it again. We also purchased a chocolate crunch tray bake, which was divine. It's so difficult being vegan you know!

Yummy Flapjack!

We stopped by here the other day when we were checking out the markets and tried a peanut butter flapjack and it was delicious. They had a great range of yummy sweet treats as well as grains and flours etc

So friendly and delicious food

I found this place on the Happy Cow app and you have to search around for it a little bit. The Market Hall has quite traditional stalls so it's a surprise to see a vegan place in there. Food was DELICIOUS!! I recommend the onion chutney sausage roll. Will definitely visit again

Great Guerrila

Great vegan addition for the market and Durham. Enjoyed the Tagine very much with a lovely mixed salad. Well worth seeking out. Good value

Pros: Great vegan choice of wholesome meals, Lovely cakes and Biscuits , All take away containers compostable

Well that's alright with me

Good to see this place now has a permanent fixture in Durham Indoor Market. They do also still appear to have the outdoor stall in the Market Square on Saturdays. Nicely designed and in a perfect location. I popped in for a quick look and walked out with a generous slice of chocolate and peanut butter flapjack for £2 which was delicious with a cup of tea back home. I’ll try their savoury offerings next time. Nice work.

Lovely food

I’ve tried the burgers and several treats from these guys and the food always tastes amazing! Some good options to choose from so there’s something for everyone. Staff are friendly and price is good.
