Average food, nice staff, cool retro vibes

Had the Vegetarian Haggis vgo.
I didn't ask what was the adaptation to make it vegan, which was a mistake. Everyone else at the table had the carnist roast which came with a large Yorkshire pud. The vegan roast doesn't.

The two slices of haggis were tasty but the roast potatoes were overdone so they were hard to cut safely. Plates are light enamel and I wasn't given a steak knife like everyone else so in the end I picked the potatoes up and let my teeth do the work rather than shooting the plate across the room.

If I'd checked there was no Yorkshire pud, I'd have had the vegan starter (just soup). The meal price wasn't reduced from the veggie version despite there being a lot less on the plate with no Yorkshire pudding.

Then desserts. I asked for the hot fudge sundae when ordering mains in case they sold out. However when the others were ordering mains, the server advised me that the sundae comes with no cream or anything? I was offered fried cherry pie instead which was nice and interesting.

Really good range of beers, beeralikes and bar snacks.

The accessible bathroom is locked and having got to it, you have to go back to the bar for a key. It's just a radar if you've got your own.

I didn't mention any of this stuff on the day because it was someone's birthday and they'd taken care to book where I would have an option, so I didn't want them to feel uncomfortable on their birthday.

I will go again but I won't skip breakfast next time!

The staff were lovely, and I really like the concept of a wmc, but all brand new. Just a tiny bit more attention to the vegan offering and I'd be recommending it left and right. I hope to be wowed when our vegan dining club visit soon. Hopefully they'll push the boat out for 10 keen eaters!!?

Pros: General concept , Lovely staff , Fried cherry pie

Cons: No Yorkshire pudding and menu doesn't say so , Roasteds were too hard to cut , Accessible loo key is at bar which is a distance

Join the gravy train - for poutine

We went for three different Pountines, mixed group of vegans, veggies and meat eaters and catered for everyone.
Super friendly staff, offered multi alternatives when the item I order was out of stock.

Pros: Flexibility , Range of zero alcohol larger / beers , Fresh crisp fries

Cons: Card only

Vegan poutine

Tried this at Glasto and loved it that much I went back twice (didn’t even revisit vegan only food trucks twice). Obviously menu was more limited from their food truck but all options could be vegan and I believe most of the toppings were vegan too. I only had the Montreal (keeping it classy) it was so moreish and satisfying after a lot of beer. Staff were really friendly and chatty even when visiting late on the final night 😀 don’t forget the extra crispy onions ontop

Pros: Great choices - all can be made vegan , Lovely staff , Well priced for festival food

Great vegan poutine

The vegan food is great. The atmosphere was less good. We visited on a Saturday afternoon. Very cold (doors kept wide open) and very noisy due to large groups of loud drunk men. We ate up and left quickly!

Pros: Several vegan options , Friendly service

Cons: Cold and noisy

Always a pleasure

Love it in here. Large spacious well lit venue with lots of vegan options and drinks well priced.
We've been a few times, on this occasion (Saturday 2 March 2024) we had the Budapest Poutine and the Frenchie Poutine. Delicious! I really wanted to try the vegan cherry pie but was too full so will leave that for another time.

Pros: Spacious, Lots of vegan options, Well priced
