Very Popular Vegetarian Place - Edit
It’s all freshly cooked vegetarian and vegan food. There were a few vegan options, with jacket potatoes, mains like African stew and the soup. Lots wasn’t vegan like pizza or quiches etc. lovely rustic feel to the place. Arrive at 12 for lunch though as it’s likely to sell out and the queue starts!

Definitely Old School - Edit
Been a couple of times for lunch. Arrived 13:30 so most choices sold out but luckily the vegan main was still available. Very tasty vegan chick pea curry with rice and salad plus coffee (with oat milk).

Must go to place - Edit
Here on vacation and found this place on Happy Cow. What a great place and if veggie or vegan perfect . The food was great and the V on the menu was clear to everything vegan. Atmosphere was bustling and busy and a great feel. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. If you are looking for a place to eat regardless of dietary preferences this is the place to go and eat.

Not much vegan - Edit
This really was an old school vegetarian cafe. Old school in that wherever you can add cheese or egg they do!
Read moreI had a rather bland chickpea tagine with a very chewy jacket potato. I also tried a selection of salads which were quite nice.
Out of three main options only one was vegan and neither pudding was, though there were about 4 vegan cakes. They also charge extra money for plant milks in drinks! Who does that in 2022?!
The ambience was nice and staff friendly, the food just didn’t live up to expectation.

Lovely little cafe with health food shop nearby - Edit
Really love the way you can pick exactly what you want from different salad and hot dishes. The food is high quality and really tasty. A nice atmosphere and it's great having a health food shop nearby stocking lots of eco and vegan products which you can go to before or after your food.

Old school vegetarian café - Edit
I visited Good Earth with my lovely wife and the mother-in-law for lunch one day. It's an old school vegetarian café serving quiche, pizza, jacket potatoes, salads and a couple of ever-changing main dishes (one of which is always vegan which is helpful as not a lot else on the menu is).
Read moreWhen we visited, the mains were a cheese & leek pasta bake and a vegetarian curry. We tried both and they were pretty good without being amazing. Very much the kind of stuff you can easily rustle up in your own kitchen but tasty enough. Great value at around £7 for a main course. A solid choice if you're looking for somewhere for lunch when visiting Wells.
Pros: Great value, Nice outdoor area
Cons: Could do with a few more vegan options

You get what you get - Edit
Beautiful building and great little outside area.
Read moreCanteen style service and a battle for the tables - you need to find a table first which may be worth them pointing out upon entrance.
We used to love visiting these guys, but unfortunately the vegan option seems to have been the same kind of dish for the last couple of years and it's hard to keep going back when the variety is so non-existent. That being said, you can't really fault the food - it's simple and represents pretty decent value for money all things considered.
Their coffee is hit and miss, it depends on who serves you - they do charge extra for plant milks from memory. Again, it has to be said that the coffee isn't that expensive in the first place.
Overall, worth a visit if you've never been before - but do find yourself a table before collecting your food from the counter.
Pros: Value, Outside seating, Quirky building
Cons: Service style not for everyone, Choice is limited, Coffee is so so

Delicious and efficient - Edit
Stopped here for lunch on a weekday daytime. It’s fairly spacious spread between several rooms and garden, and was less than half full. Counter service meant we got served straight away and staff seemed pretty relaxed and helpful. Food was really great and the only criticism was a tiny bug in my salad and a hair in my partner’s pizza.

Love this place. - Edit
I understand the criticisms of this cafe, however, it's so great to have a vegetarian/vegan place in such a small town. There may be only a couple of vegan options as a main dish, but they're always healthy, hearty and delicious. The food is fantastic and the staff are kind and friendly.
Read moreIt's a little expensive but the quality of the food is high. Go as early as you can, as it gets busy.

Squashed like sardines - Edit
The food was okay, although limited for a vegan. However, after joining a long queue it was like eating in a busy corridor with people bumping against you. Drinks were very limited.
Read moreIt certainly should not describe itself as a restaurant; a self-service cafe is more accurate.
I would not return as I prefer to eat in a modicum of comfort and space.
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Lack of space., Limited vegan options.

needs more vegan options - Edit
I visited Wells and this cafe for the first time yesterday with friends. It's a nice looking cafe. Queueing for the food we were constantly in people's way, it's very crammed by the till. It's not hugely clear how the place works. I had the vegan suitable red curry which was tasty but there weren't loads of vegan options but maybe they don't get many vegans as when I asked if it was suitable the lady looked a bit confused like it was an unfamiliar word. There were a couple of vegan cake options- date flapjacks etc but I didn't try these. Overall pleasant.

Friendly place to eat - Edit
Good food and a friendly, pleasant atmosphere in which to eat it. A deceptively large cafe spread across a rambling labyrinth of rooms and a courtyard garden. Narrow corridors make navigating to your table quite difficult when busy. Food often sells out early, so don't expect much variety after the lunch rush. Slightly over-priced.
