Insane value for money - Edit
If you pictured a fully vegan pub it wouldn’t look like this but what a find!! The price of main dishes is what you’d expect to pay for starters!! Faced with too much choice we opted for 3 mains between the 2 of us, and to be honest that was the perfect amount of food. Good home cooked vegan comfort food that represents incredible value for money.

Quality food in a strange pub - Edit
The food is fabulous, the chickpea and spinach curry with rice? Yum.
Read moreThe special which is pita, very good along with the lovely curly fries.
That sticky toffee pudding with chocolate ice cream was so so good, even my partner loves it...and he does not like desserts.
The spicy hot dog roll was interesting, looked like a long spring roll!
The food honestly is so much better than the pub, it's so out of place in this pub where it is constantly cold, the place is not very welcoming even though the staffs were nice.
The place was pretty empty besides table full of loud old guys drinking and playing dominos. Which was fine of course.
The food belongs in a restaurant, or a better cared for pub.

The North's finest vegan pub - Edit
Traditional looking English pub but it serves all vegan food. There's plenty to choose from and on a Sunday they have roast and Yorkshire pudding. Several options of cake and icecreams. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. It's also a cool music venue and has a large pub garden. Well worth a visit.

Stopped by after a walk in the peaks. The menu is fantastic and portions sizes are mad, particularly for the price. Typical English pub with fantastic and crudely free grub!

Can not wait to stop by for a Sunday roast because it looks insane and at £8 you can't say no!

Cheap and spoilt for choice - Edit
This is the type of place you could bring a nonvegan and see their mouth water at the choice available plus how cheap it is!!! Had a three course meal plus alcohol free beers for two for less than £20. Winner! Top tip: go for curly fries and if there’s any sticky toffee pudding (always sold out) it’s a no brainer......

The Globe has been around forever doing things that these new kids are only just discovering.

The pub itself is traditional in decor but full of character. There are some retro arcade games as well as pool nights.

Always great - Edit
We’ve been coming here for years, even before I went vegan. The chickpea curry is famous around here. My dad says he could eat it for breakfast, dinner and tea. They also do a great cheeseburger, chilli and sausage chips and onion gravy. Plus several other tasty morsels.

Great Vegan food, but cask ales where not vegan! - Edit
Often listed as a vegan pub but the cask beer uses isinglass, the dried swim bladder of fish. This was a major disappointment and a big surprise as the pub is known for being vegan! There are plenty of small independent breweries making vegan beer (Brass Castle of Malton & Atom of Hull come to mind). Lessons to be learned by the Globe brewery!

Love this place! - Edit
I highly recommend the globe. The menu is fully vegan. I have eaten here loads before and usually get the korma with chips and rice. All the curries/chillis are delicious and I recently tried the hot dog which I really liked too. I wasnt a big fan of the falafel dish though. The cakes and ice cream here are amazing and everything is so cheap! Dog friendly too.

Greasy, cheap, delicious! - Edit
I've been here so many times with friends and loved ones that it's hard to know where to begin. The menu is full of classic pub food - curry, chilli, sosage etc. My fave - mushrooms and soy chunks in red wine gravy. The best thing to do is order everything because you're going to want curry and rice, but also spicy curly fries! Usually i get a side of pickled cabbage as a token gesture towards vegetables. Also there is a selection of unusual ice creams including amaretto flavoured. I've always found the booze here just as you'd want it to be. This is a great pub mostly because it doesn't brand itself as vegan - it just feels more like a pub where everyone goes.
