All vegan so all good - Edit
The Globe has been around forever doing things that these new kids are only just discovering.
Read moreAll food is vegan and home cooked and seemingly at cost as I have fed my family of four for less than £15.
The pub itself is traditional in decor but full of character. There are some retro arcade games as well as pool nights.
I haven’t yet seen any live music here but there’s always loads on. Would highly recommend if visiting Glossop- opens later on until late
Pros: Vegan, Cheap, Full of character
Cons: Opens late afternoon

Really lovely proper pub in Glossop that serves all vegan food and vegan beer from their own microbrewery too. Nice range of food including: spring rolls, hotdogs, keema, burgers and fries. Massive range of vegan ice creams and cakes too.

Always great - Edit
We’ve been coming here for years, even before I went vegan. The chickpea curry is famous around here. My dad says he could eat it for breakfast, dinner and tea. They also do a great cheeseburger, chilli and sausage chips and onion gravy. Plus several other tasty morsels.
Read morePros: Lots of options and it’s all vegan , Tasty , In expensive
Cons: I don’t think the bar is fully vegan, so ask. , I can be difficult to get a seat at busy times.

Great Vegan food, but cask ales where not vegan! - Edit
Often listed as a vegan pub but the cask beer uses isinglass, the dried swim bladder of fish. This was a major disappointment and a big surprise as the pub is known for being vegan! There are plenty of small independent breweries making vegan beer (Brass Castle of Malton & Atom of Hull come to mind). Lessons to be learned by the Globe brewery!

Love this place! - Edit
I highly recommend the globe. The menu is fully vegan. I have eaten here loads before and usually get the korma with chips and rice. All the curries/chillis are delicious and I recently tried the hot dog which I really liked too. I wasnt a big fan of the falafel dish though. The cakes and ice cream here are amazing and everything is so cheap! Dog friendly too.

Greasy, cheap, delicious! - Edit
I've been here so many times with friends and loved ones that it's hard to know where to begin. The menu is full of classic pub food - curry, chilli, sosage etc. My fave - mushrooms and soy chunks in red wine gravy. The best thing to do is order everything because you're going to want curry and rice, but also spicy curly fries! Usually i get a side of pickled cabbage as a token gesture towards vegetables. Also there is a selection of unusual ice creams including amaretto flavoured. I've always found the booze here just as you'd want it to be. This is a great pub mostly because it doesn't brand itself as vegan - it just feels more like a pub where everyone goes.

Globe - Edit
Been here loads of times, one of the first vegan places I discovered! Food is always good, cheap and chearful. They have changed chef though so Hot Veg Curry now off the menu, thought whichever chef it was could make one up though! They also make a large range of vegan ice creams, vast range of flavours.

Cons: Own beer isn't vegan.

Our favourite hide out pub! - Edit
We've visited The Globe many times and every visit is enjoyable, the fact that it is dog friendly is great too as you can always meet adorable new pups!
Read moreWe always end up getting chilli hotdog rolls and hummus dips as we're addicted! The menu has many options which we've tried in the past but would recommend the hot dog rolls highly, it's a lovely little pub and the staff are very friendly and remember our order no matter how far apart our returns are.
The food is very affordable and has a lovely friendly atmosphere, sadly we live a bit further away (we used to travel from Stockport which was absoluteley worth it) in Wales, but we are planning trips out this year as an excuse to re-visit, and are hoping to re-locate in the near future meaning we will probably visit at least once a week!
I've recommended this to both family and friends and they all absolutely adore it!
Pros: Cheap food, Fast & friendly service, Delicious dishes!
Cons: None

Love the food here included the chocolate ice cream. Could do with a bit of tlc as the toilets have mould and damp in. I try not to think of the interior as I'm eating

Excellent Food - Edit
The food and value are excellent. I've only given it a 4 star for this reason. The pub is shabby without the chic and badly in need of a revamp. Some of the clients made us leave quicker than intended. They were loud and vulgar. A couple of local clients let the whole place down with their vulgar shouting comments and I'm definitely not a prude. I think this could be controlled by the management rather than lose their customers.

Cosy vegan pub - Edit
This pub is amazing. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The food is simply delicious and cheap and everything is vegan. Since I just had spend the day hiking in the national park, this was exactly what I needed. I had a curry for main and the butterscotch cake with roasted hazelnut icecream for dessert, the icecream reminded me of Kinder Buenos. If I wasn't so full, I would have ordered a second dessert since there are so many options and everything sounded delicious. I will definitely go back to Glossop, even if it's just for this pub.

Tasty, cheap food that's perfect to have after a walk in the peaks. I had the 'steak' and mushroom in gravy with chips and it was delicious. Can also recommend the cinnamon cake and ice cream for dessert. Lovely atmosphere and homely place - staff were really nice too. The service was incredibly quick - we ordered desserts at the bar and they came just as we got back to the table to sit down!
