Amazing tacos had to try them all, they are all super delicious. Faves are asada and pastor but all are excellent quesadilla also super good. Had diner yesterday came back for lunch today.

Such a cute small space with delicious tacos/nachos/(Hamburgs she said made from scratch but we didn’t get a chance to try). Very friendly owner that was cooking. Small menu, but perfect.
Read moreI always find it hard to get vegan tacos, but these were great. Seems like the ingredients are homemade and the cookie was baked fresh and served warm.
Will definitely go back again.

Love it! Cute set up. Right outside the San Jose square. Good food. May not be suitable for large groups to dine in but the owners are very sweet and friendly.. must visit when in San Jose.

I'm so thrilled this place opened just a few weeks before we arrived! It was right downtown so it was the perfect place to stop before the town's Thursday night art walk. It's a little hidden behind a pizza place but you'll see the vegan sign. There's just a few outside shaded tables. You can order beer and cocktails from the bar in between it and the pizza place. There's a friendly cat that might also come to say hello! We started with the nachos! Omg! So so good! Seriously, do not skip them! I had the burger and hubby had octopus and shrimp tacos. Like what?? He's pescatarian but said they were really good. I enjoyed my burger too. I appreciate how they are showing the world that anything can be veganized! Don't skip this place when you are in town!

We came across this wonderful restaurant after a long day of travel and we are so happy we did. The staff here are friendly and very helpful. Mau and Felipe (sorry if the spellings are incorrect) were jovial, pleasant, polite and provided exceptional service.
Read moreThe food was delicious. We ordered a poke bowl and Asada,, chorizo and pastor tacos and all were delicious. For desert we shared a scrumptious, warmed nut cookie.
The atmosphere is lovely, outdoor dining under the trees with perfect lighting and great music. There is also a small stage for the live entertainment twice per week.
Although we are only in town for a few days we plan to return to The Forward Thinking Eatery to try the hamburgers. This fabulous restaurant makes their burgers from scratch (no store bought patties, yay).
We have dined at a lot of vegan restaurants during our travels around Mexico this past year and the The Forward Thinking Eatery quickly became one of our favorites.
