Fancy dining but a miss for us - Edit
Chose this place for dinner because it was highly rated for vegan options, going in we knew it was on the pricey side and it definitely feels like fine dining. The outside looks a bit touristy but inside is lovely and service is almost too attentive there are like 6 waiters serving you throughout the meal. Very much appreciated the variety of vegan menu items, I wished it had been extended to the cocktail menu because there were interesting ones that were not vegan, that said we thoroughly enjoyed the cocktail I chose. I dined here with my omnivore friend, we admittedly over ordered because she ordered meat dishes but also was sharing the vegan dishes. The items we got at the start of the meal were our favorites, the vegan dishes that was our favorite was hands down the Charred Beets with candied pecans and vegan cashews jocoque, we loved it, the vegan sope was also good, there was fresh bread served with a yummy cashew butter for me (there was an absurd presentation of the smoked dairy butter for my friend) but with the surprise amuse bouche lettuce cup from the chef kicking off the dinner, at this point we really had no room for the main course which was huge mushroom risotto that we actually didn't enjoy at all, my friend felt the issue was the rice was undercooked. However, I would come back and try other dishes if I had the chance.

Amazing food!! - Edit
Food is memorable to unforgettable. Restaurant/chef has won many awards, and prices could easily be twice as expensive outside of Mexico. Really impressed my non-vegan friends who haven’t tried fine dining before. Well worth the price, about $120 usd for two people sharing two appetizers, a main, two drinks, water and a tip.
Read moreFavorites: vegan ceviche, vegan sope, mushroom risotto, beets
Tomato salad seemed like a miss to me.
Cauliflower could have been roasted more, so I wouldn’t put it high on my list unless you’re ordering a lot of vegan dishes.
We found the service unnecessarily complicated and a little baffling at times. (The menu and some of the cocktail glasses were impractical to use. They had 2-3 waiters for our 4-top who were constantly coming to and from the table). I’m sure this is fine for some people, but we found it to be over the top.
Food and interior design make this place entirely worth it. Live music on some nights.

Vegan Options! - Edit
Clearly marked vegan options! Food was amazing and staff was so accommodating. Definitely expensive though, and very touristy.

Incredible vegan options - Edit
Don Sanchez had absolutely amazing vegan options. They asked if we had any dietary restrictions or allergies when we arrived, and we said that we were vegan. They said that the lentil sopes, charred beets, jicama sashimi, tuber ceviche, and cauliflower were vegan, and the tomatoes and mushrooms ajillo could easily be made vegan.
Read moreWe ordered the charred beets and sopes to start, with the mushrooms ajillo and cauliflower as our entrees. Before our starters, they brought out a fresh vegetable taco - diced root vegetables on a lettuce leaf with a spicy salsa as a starter/palate cleanser.
The sopes are topped with lentils and pickled carrots and were surprisingly filling. The charred beets definitely were the star of the meal. They have a wonderful smokiness to them and are topped with candied nuts and served with a side of hibiscus vinaigrette. With our starters they brought out three rolls of purple and orange bread with a creamy nut “butter” for dipping and spreading. Before dinner, we received a pineapple and citrus sorbet palate cleanser.
The cauliflower was some of the best we’ve ever had. It came with roasted squash, peppers, zucchini, aioli, and a faba purée. The mushrooms ajillo was on the richer and saltier side but was insanely good. The mushrooms were saucy and meaty while the risotto was incredibly unique with its coconut cream and chunks of avocado.
The servers were so nice, friendly, and attentive. Overall, the food and service were amazing.
Pros: Excellent food, Amazing service, Live music

¡Muy Bueno! - Edit
This place was quite exceptional and worth the outing!
Read moreVisited this restaurant with friends who are non-vegan but have my meal preferences in mind when we go out.
While on a weekend trip to San Jose del Cabo friends had chosen this restaurant only 10-minutes away from our hotel.
I started with the Jicama Sashimi and the Charred Beets.
Both were beautifully displayed. I have to say the beets is a must! Flavors had a smokiness to them that I haven’t ever tasted with beets before.
Before the main meal they served up a mouth cleansing Watermelon-Mint Sorbet that was perfectly refreshing.
For the main meal I chose the Mushrooms Ajillo. The umami in this dish was great on flavor. Slightly salty but not enough to destroy the meal. Well worth it.
This place is a must if you’re in town
Pros: Great vegan options , Above and Beyond service , Ambiance was exceptional
Cons: Hard to think of one.

This place is amazing. Lots of great options. A vegan sopa, roasted cauliflower, charred beats, and a jicima ceviche. I loved it all. Forgot to take a picture until after I ate.

Decent vegan options - Edit
I had the vegan taco, which was fantastic, and the cauliflower, which was basic vegetables but good. Loved that they brought me a vegan amuse bouche when everyone else got one.
