The best vegan comfort food in KC - Edit
100% vegan. Tom of delicious comfort food options. Went 3 times to this place. First stop has the empanadas. Topped with sour cream pico de gallo and guac. Delicious. With a side order of jalapeño poppers but this poppers are on steroids both in size and flavor. Second day got the fried breakfast burrito with a side of cauliflower wings with mango habanero sauce. Both very good ! Last day has the fried chicken smothered in gravy with a side of mash potatoes and green beans. Crunchy goodness. Lastly had a chocolate marshmallow Busquet. The bomb. Definitely recommend it for your comfort food fix!

My mom and I were traveling from Illinois back to Kansas when we decided to stop here. I'm vegan, she was down to explore. I had the fried breakfast burrito and she had their fried chicken sammie. The food was AMAZING and I'm so glad we found this gem. Wish I was in the area to go back and try more of their dishes but at least I know if I'm ever in the area again, this place is a must.

People expect meat in Kansas City, being the BBQ capital of the world. The restaurant does the trick but the menu is esp fake- meat heavy with few options for whole foods or veggies. Loved the smoked tofu-LT! Yummy fake mozzarella sticks.

This restaurant is a great spot to visit in downtown KC! Everything there is vegan, and it’s definitely more than a few salads! Huge portions, you’ll be taking home a to-go box for sure!

This spot is a delight. The food is excellent, offering a refreshing variety on the menu. They've managed to veganize classic dishes that I haven't seen elsewhere, which is a pleasant surprise.
Read moreWhile most of the meal was phenomenal, I must admit I wasn't a huge fan of the vegan ricotta in the fried jalapenos. However, that's a minor note in an otherwise outstanding experience.
My biggest gripe is their limited hours, which sadly prevent me, an out-of-towner, from enjoying their offerings more frequently. If only they were open longer, this place would undoubtedly become a regular stop for me.

Really nice vegan brunch spot. Not a huge menu, but big enough to make for hard decisions. I of course ordered the fried breakfast burrito. I give it four stars. I loved the cheese sauce and the fact that it was fried. The filling was good, but had rice (both inside and as a side), and that's not my preference for a breakfast burrito. (Even though it has tofu egg, the rice doesn't feel like breakfast to me.)

The chick’n parm Sammie on special was incredible. It’s nice to have something you don’t see everywhere. Looks like lots of great options here. My omnivorous friend was pleased with the Impossible burger. Will definitely be coming back.

Holy smokes. The Fix alone was worth the trip to Kansas City. I got the sausage cheese biscuit and added egg — unbelievably good. Cool space as well — nice atmosphere. Don’t miss out!

After road tripping across eastern Colorado and Kansas, this place was a godsend. We got delicious vegan brunch - burrito, biscuits & fried chicken, and jalapeno poppers. I got my fix at the fix😎 - Edit
The Fix was an excellent vegan stop during my day trip to KC! It was in a really cool historic building that used to be an old pharmacy. The music is great and the food is even better! A great atmosphere with cute decorations and large windows giving you natural light and a glimpse of the activity outside. The food was excellent. I got the TLT (tofu, lettuce and tomato sandwich) and it was delicious! It had vegan thousand island dressing which was the first I’ve had since going vegan 5 years ago! The fries were soft but you’re given a lot of them and kind of remind me of potato’s you’d get with a breakfast burrito. My non vegan friend was very impressed with her vegan chicken tenders. She said they were in her top-5 best chicken tender list. Those are served with the same fries as the TLT. The only thing I didn’t love was the price, a bit high considering you have to order at the counter and then pick up/bus your food- and you’re still asked if you want to tip.
