The District At Mills 50 - - Edit
Amazing hidden gem with local, independent art and goods, vintage clothes and books, vegan food and drinks, and more! If you like supporting local artisans as well as buying second-hand items, this place is a must-see! They also stock the Herbivourous Butcher vegan meats.
Read moreWe tried the vegan breakfast sandwiches: Hammy Sammy, "Sausage", and "Steak" ($3.75 each). All were delicious. They also offer: Chorizo, but it was not available the morning we visited. Breakfast is served 7:00 am - 10:00 am daily.
The staff is very friendly and personable. We look forward to visiting again. This space features local artists and hosts pop-up events so be sure to check them out for the latest details on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter: @DistrictAtMills

Awesome offerings! - Edit
I go for the food, not so much for the merchandise sold throughout the store.
Read moreTheir pre-made sandwiches and salads are very good. The Cuban is by far my favorite sandwich...highly recommend.
They now sell their own line of vegan meats, cheeses, and nut milks which are top-notch. The desserts I've eaten here are yummy. I ordered a brownie once and it was probably the best brownie I've ever had!
The atmosphere is very cozy. The owners are so friendly and personable. I've never had a bad experience here.

All vegan deli & shop! - Edit
So delicious vegan sandwiches, pizza and burgers. We had a cuban and a rosted beef melt sandwiches and a slice of pizza, all were so good. Drool. Especially the sandwiches. You can also buy the ”meats” to go! Has a vegan shop too. Lovely people.

Wide selection of lunch items. Some menu items change throughout the week so be sure check their Instagram to see what they're serving that day. Love their grocery too.

Great shop, great food - Edit
I love that I can find products here that I never see in area grocery stores and they’re very helpful and friendly. My only complaint is the minimal seating. It can be hard to order food here when the tables are full. But overall it’s a really cute spot!

Wow! Super Friendly - Edit
Amazing experience at The District @The Mills. We walked in right at 9am and they couldn’t have been more welcoming and friendly. We had two cold pressed coffees (on nitro) and 2 breakfast sandwiches for $22.

Great service and good food - Edit
The market is great. I reccomend the philly cheese and bbq sandwich. The chicken salad was meh and the mac and cheese needed some love, but they have a cheese sauce in their fridge section that mixes very well with it. Overall pretty satisfying

Great little cafe - Edit
Mostly sandwich that they heat up for you. Delicious! I had the roast beef with cheese - totally vegan! Generous amount of "beef". Hubby got the "sausage and egg" on an everything bagel and loved it! They also offer a couple of samples, which was very nice. Definitely recommend going to this cafe! They also have a small shop with other vegan options and misc items.

Delicious! - Edit
I had no idea this was a restaurant, I live just a few minutes away and pass it all the time. I saw it on Happycow and immediately stopped in on my way home from work and I'm in love.
Read moreI ordered the burger and philly melt (I'm sure they have different names), some chicken salad for sandwiches, and a couple of chocolate chunk cookies. Everything was amazing, I really loved the philly cheesesteak, probably more than the real deal though it's been over a decade since I've had one. My husband had to text me while at work just to tell me the chicken salad was the best he's ever had, lol. The cookies tasted like cookies, they weren't overly sweet either, sometimes vegan things are overkill but these were just right.
We will be going back for breakfast, sandwiches (Cuban coming up!), and egg salad. Oh, and the ice cream.
Pros: Lots of deli-like foods, Great "meat", Have a small market with nice dairy options

First Timer - Edit
I’d been dying to visit for a while now. I don’t live or work too far away but I hate driving towards downtown. I intentionally went on a weekend so I wouldn’t hit any traffic on the way. I had zero regrets! I went for Just (for all) Egg and an Impossible Burger. To my surprise there was a FULL menu of choices, vegan ice cream, soaps, jewelry, essential oils and tons of other swag. I met some of the most amazing humans and humanitarians. Very kind, down to Earth and very engaging with their customers. If I had questions, they could answer! I can’t wait to go back.

Wonderful Vegan General Store - Edit
I finally got a chance to visit The District today at lunchtime and loved it! It has the feel of an old fashioned general store, but updated with lots of the modern vegan foods.
Read moreThere were lots of ready-to-eat items in the case -- from baked goodies, to sandwich wraps. I chose the green leaf wrapped chickenless salad. It was delicious! I added a orange, turmeric, cinnamon kombucha made near Orlando. I had to get back to work, so I just got it to-go.
But I didn't stop with just lunch. I raided the drinks fridge for some fresh aloe vera juice, and the freezer for a curry lentil wrap and some spicy vegan sausages. On the shelves I found a local brand of marinara sauce that I know I like, a jar of spicy pickled dilly beans, and a can of organic sliced jack fruit.
I want to go back soon, because I noticed lots of other things that call to me. There were coffees, several shelves of books of all sorts, vegan steaks, and whole shelves that I didn't even get a chance to look at.
There were only 3 non-vegan items in the whole store, all well identified.
This is a wonderful addition to the Mills-50 neighborhood. I'm so glad they moved in.

Pros: Lots of fun vegan foods, Ready-to-eat foods, and food to take home, Large group tables allow sharing or being alone
Cons: I wonder if they'd consider having some produce?
