Must visit for Indian vegan food in Lagos - Edit
Quite a few vegan labelled dishes and breads. Lovely restaurant with friendly staff. The curries we tried were excellent and the onion kulcha bread was exceptional.

Lots of choice for vegans. There is a whole section on the menu for vegan/veggie options. Staff knowledgeable about veganism and able to advise which dishes are vegan friendly. I enjoyed my meal however my omni friends didn’t think theirs was very nice.

Read moreYoung dude eventually came out with menus and was really friendly. Lovely lady owner came out and was very matter of fact and confident about her vegan 🌱 grub. We liked her, she’s a real character.
You can have a look in my pictures at the food we had. It was really fresh and they appear to understand that vegan 🌱 food is NOT just removing meat or fish or dairy from what you already offer.
This was a nice surprise and nice to have a meat eating joint that appears to understand & respect plant based eaters.

Delicious and Fresh - Edit
We discovered the Curry Leaf through the Happy Cow app and was delighted with the food we received. Our lovely waiter was extremely knowledgeable in what was and wasn’t vegan other the vegan options shown. The restaurant was very busy but our food was served quickly and was absolutely delicious. Shame it was the last day of our holiday otherwise we would have been back many times.

Tofu tikka masala! - Edit
The Curry Leaf has a good selection of vegetarian dishes, most of which could be made vegan on request. We ordered the tofu tikka masala, pinde chole, mushroom pulao rice and roti. Was tasty and reasonably priced but usually get better Indian food back in the UK. Good to have options like this on holiday though. We were asked if we liked our curry mild, medium or hot. We went for one medium and one hot and it ended up being very spicy! We still enjoyed it, good if you’re a chilli lover.

The food here is really good, with about 6-7 vegetable curry mains which are vegan. The staff knew all the options on the menu which were or could be made vegan as well. Happy to recommend.
