Good Vegan choices - Edit
Lovely old, atmospheric English pub, steeped in history. Owner was reserved but attentive. We sat at a window table in the bar area and enjoyed the view of St Gregory’s church. Food was good and the vegan choc orange tart was delicious.

Oh we are so lucky to have The Crown! Beautiful thatched pub with a gorgeous big garden which is a sun trap in the summer. Fantastic vegan menu - I love the chickpea burger with pea or pineapple fritter, and the vegetable tart. Really well stocked bar with local beers and load of different gins. Vegan option on a Sunday is a nut roast (and a few options from their normal vegan menu) with at least half the veggies from the carvery being suitable for vegans. And the portions are ENORMOUS! I haven't been able to finish my meal yet, but I will keep trying!😄
