Amazing! - Edit
Been here before, and back again. Really good but I believe the one in Southport is better so if you have a choice, I would go there.

Used to be amazing - Edit
First time I came here in February it was amazing! Everything was delicious. Second time today such a huge disappointment, couldn't even eat the food or drink the milkshake. Things that were meant to be hot were cold, potatoes were hard, everything pretty bland, caramel milkshake was meant to have ice cream but just tasted like milk and chocolate syrup. This time they didn't have the full menu either just the buffet, not a lot of vegan options.

Not as good as expected - Edit
Went here excited and waited outside to be seated. Another group who also waited outside to be seated. The group behind us ended up walking in, so we followed suit. There were 4 people behind the counter, all who had noticed us but ignored us standing there. We didn’t realise you just walk in and sit down. It would have been nice if they acknowledged us to come and sit down, I would have felt it rude as a customer to assume to walk and sit wherever I felt, so I felt the service could have been better if they just did this. We even had a waitress pass us, but didn’t say a word regarding sitting ourselves. We wanted the buffet but they only had the salad displayed, which looked a bit boring. We ordered off the main menu and then 10 mins later more buffet meals came out. It would be nice if the whole buffet food had been out when the restaurant was ready to have food ordered coz I would have then known there was actually more on offer rather than just salad. It was all confusing. I had an avocado bene for $23. It was drowning in oil. I only ate the avocado on the side and a mouthful of the burger. They croissant it’s served in was soggy from the oil. I was highly disappointed with this place, considering the high expectations I had based on the reviews here. 2 stars coz my partner had the toastie who enjoyed their meal. Be prepared to sit yourself, the food is very oily & personally I think is way over priced considering what you can get at other places locally.

Lovely Cafe - Edit
The Cardamom Pod is a great cafe with so many vegan options on the menu. They put a lot of effort into their food and drinks and everything looks amazing. I will happily dine here again.

I had visited The Cardamom pod while on a business trip. It was my go to for any meals of the day. Over 2 years later I am back and still impressed. They haven't changed, quality and atmosphere is great and food is absolutely amazing. Had the big breakfast which is very filling

The most fabulous açaí bowls you'll ever see - Edit
The açaí bowls at this place are artworks! It's a huge bowl and you'll struggle with eating it all up. I went here several times when I used to live on the Gold Coast and every time the bowl had another creative design! It's fairly expensive but probably the best açaí bowls on the coast!

A la carte menu - delicious - Edit
I’ve been here for breakfast and for lunch. Both times I’ve chosen from the a la carte menu. I had the avo Benny which was a croissant filled with potato dumplings and spinach and facon and the sauce and seeds really added to it. It was a good sized serving and I enjoyed it. For breakfast I had the pumpkin spice pancakes. The chocolate sauce was generous. The two pancakes were enough for me. I had a soy coffee which was nice too.

Dinner was mediocre - Edit
Came here for dinner once. I was expecting the level of Cardamom Pod at Southport, but was disappointed. Dinner is a standard buffet with salads and hot options. Most of the hot options weren’t vegan.

All you can eat bargain! - Edit
A fabulous bohemian vegetarian and vegan restaurant in the heart of Broadbeach. All you can eat for $17.90 is fantastic value and a great way to sample all the dishes. Tofu salad was particularly delicious!

The desserts here are lush, but the mains on offer are nothing special, and the service is very ordinary.

Good but overpriced - Edit
A cross between Govindas and a trendy juice bar. The food is pretty good but not as good as the fancy vibe and high prices would suggest. It's an approachable place to take omni friends.

I visit this cafe everytime I'm in Qld just to eat their acai bowls. They are the best I have had. Full of fruit on top and granola.

My favourite place - Edit
My experiences here have been some of my most memorable, because the food is so delicious, and the staff are so nice and helpful. I’ve never enjoyed salad as much ever, and the kofta balls are superb! The lovely Spanish and American ladies there last time really looked after us, and were genuine and environmentally conscious too!

No.1 for brunch - Edit
Delicious brunch menu and great coffee in a peaceful location. We had the POD big breakfast, which came with pumpkin toast, fried vegan halloumi, asparagus, grilled tomatoes and greens. Delish. There was a good selection with French toast, pancakes and waffles too. Highly recommended. The service was fantastic too!

Pleasing Pod - Edit
Really enjoyed breakfast at the Cardamom Pod at one of the outside tables near the park. It was pretty busy, and only got busier as it got to mid morning, with lots of interesting options on the menu.
Read moreI had the bagel - with avo and rocket in side, plus scrambled tofu, beans, beetroot dip and kofta balls. Was so yum, and a big serving. Each of the items had it's own very tasty flavour and the bagel was toasted to perfection, so it was not chewy.
My dining companion had a breakfast bennie burger, which she said was amazing with 'bacon' and a side of sweet potato fries.
Service was friendly, choice of seating options including lounge chairs and some great smoothie options (if only I wasn't so full).
If you are visiting, do this instead of the hotel breakfast: you will not regret it.

Good value Tuesday buffet - Edit
I went on Tuesday which is the all you can eat buffet day. The regular ala carte menu is not available on these days. There is a reasonable selection of salads and hot dishes. Hot dishes included lasagna, dal, vegan bake and curry whilst the salads were a variety and included pumpkins, greens, beetroot, tempeh, tofu and beans. The atmosphere is relaxed.

Delicious coffee - Edit
Stopped in for a coffee and chat. Very cute decor and comfy areas to sit and chat. Great coffee. We didn’t eat, but I was expecting a more restaurant-y vibe. It was a cute casual cafe with a buffet salad bar, vegan ice cream and mylkshakes, plenty of cake choices.

A great find - Edit
Luckily for us we came for dinner on a Tuesday which is “all you can eat” night. For $16.90 our plate was refilled as often as we liked! Such delicious food and great value. I absolutely loved the dhal soup and rice and veg laksa whilst my husband thoroughly enjoyed the veg lasagne and veg kofta balls. We’ll definitely come here whenever we are holidaying on the Gold Coast. Lovely friendly staff too!
