Open during the off season! - Edit
I had such a great seasonal winter grain bowl with one of their cauliflower fritters. It was nourishing, filling, and flavorful! I appreciate how much effort they went into to give a flavorful and nutritious option besides some of their more comfort food-type stuff (which undoubtedly is also nice to see). I spotted a grilled cheese option, a sandwich with the same cauliflower fritters, a few vegan sides and appetizers (kimchi, veggies), and a beyond burger. Service was friendly and prompt. Huge plus that they’re open during the off season!

Yummilicious Cauliflower fritter sandwich - Edit
Went during winter season and they had great vegan options. Even on holidays like Mardi Gras and Valentine’s Day they have a vegan option on their special menus!

Probably the best vegan options in town - Edit
Check out The Canteen. A handful of choices for vegans. Ptown doesn't seem to have many options, so had to check out Canteen after viewing their menu online. Was pleasantly surprised.

Best Meal we had in PTown - Edit
The Tofu Bahn Mi, Cauliflower Fritters, and drinks were wonderful. After repeated vegan burgers all vacation, this was a breath of fresh air. The food was genuinely good and we almost missed out on the fritters, but are so glad we had them!

OK, glad to have choices, nothing special - Edit
I got the tofu Ban mi. I was expecting something interesting. But it was just a so-so baguette with a few veggies and marinated tofu and some kind of oily orange sauce. The tofu was flavorful and I ate that.
Read moreI also got the chickpea tacos The chickpeas were flavored in a reasonable way nothing remarkable, but OK. The taco part was just soggy, so I just ate the chickpeas
I was glad to have choices and they weren’t terrible, but I won’t be going back
Pros: Several vegan choices, Reasonable prices, Nice outdoor seating
Cons: The food was OK but nothing to go back for

I had the summer wedge and split the vegan tofu bahn mi with hubby. My veggie daughter had (and loved) the caprese sandwich. We sat outside on the beach. Fun environment. Highly recommend.

Excellent food and more options than anywhere else I’ve found on The Cape! Full of flavor and fully executed meals with generous portions and good quality ingredients. Got the chickpea tacos, Tofu Bahn Mo & Cauliflower Sandwich. The tofu was not cooked so the texture was different than expected but overall tasted very good. Gluten free options also a plus

Great Food/Vibe - Edit
I am editing this review a year later after eating here 3 times in a week. Multiple few vegan options--all delicious. Had the sweet & spicy chickpea tacos, vegan grilled cheese, Tofu banh mi, and cauliflower fritters. They have the fritters as an app or a sandwich; sooo good. Favorite place to eat in P-town.

It was okay - Edit
I’ve been to this place before and it used to be better. I really like that they have plenty of vegan options. But the chickpea tacos were a bit bitter, the falafel sandwich came with super dry falafel, and the vegan cake had some mold on it. They gave us a new piece though. Not terrible, but not super satisfactory. Their gazpacho was pretty good to be fair, tasted pretty authentic!

Delish and friendly - Edit
Everything vegan was clearly marked on the menu, and there was too much for me to try at once. The cauliflower schwarma was so tasty, and the cauliflower fritters filling and satisfying. The prices were so reasonable for P-Town. I’ll be back to try the vegan pot pie! The vegan cage was decadent. The place is very casual with counter ordering.

Delightful vibe, beachside seating - Edit
Very friendly staff, about four vegan menu items, all of which were tasty. Great vacation vibe for the seating, which varied from couches to stools to booths. Crowded, but food comes out fast. I really liked the energy. My son and I thought everything was delicious, my husband thought there was too much sauce on most of the items. We liked the tofu banh mi and the cauliflower fritters. The chocolate orange cake had a terrific texture. French fries were mediocre.

A few options for vegans - Edit
Been here two years in a row. Last year they had gazpacho on the menu. Not this year. They still had the vegan grilled cheese on the menu, but last year the cheese wasn't good, So I didn't try it again. This year we ate the cauliflower fritters and the tofu banh mi. DELICIOUS. Love the outdoor seating. If I drank alcohol I would have gotten a frozé at their bar!

Great vegan options - Edit
In a town with limited vegan options, The Canteen has become my go-to during my stay in Ptown. Like every restaurant they have some items that are better than others. Their brussel sprouts are the best I have ever had, and the tofu banh mi sandwich is my favorite entree option. I highly recommend this place as the food is great and the price is hard to beat.

Stopped here for lunch. Great location at the beach with outdoor dog friendly seating. So many yummy vegan options to choose from, including vegan banana bread and vegan chocolate raspberry cake for dessert. Portions are very filling. The chickpea tacos were well spiced and flavorful. The vegan grilled cheese was really tasty with the onion and chives. The food came out fast and was very fresh.
