Great restaurant with fab view! - Edit
We ate here on a Monday night in possibly the busiest June in the West Country for many years. The website showed that the restaurant was full, but we could book the bar. When we arrived the member of staff on the door found us a table in the restaurant area. I had the vegan risotto and my partner the vegan burger - the food was tasty and there were other vegan options on the menu. It was so nice to have more than just a burger or curry to choose from. Food and service were good quality and we'd certainly eat here again if we're in the area

Go next door! - Edit
We went here because online the vegan options looked really good and diverse, but on arrival we were told that they got rid of their vegan menu (to be fair they did say they were making a new one) so there was only one vegan main which happened to be something I didn’t like.
Read moreWe had already ordered coffees (soy milk the only vegan option) so agreed to have those and then go. We explained to the waiter we would be going elsewhere because of the lack of vegan options. He brought our coffees over with little squares of brownie each. I asked if they were vegan- of course they weren’t- this type of thing annoys me so much as they were then wasted.
The waiter helpfully offered us a gluten free cookie- my husband asked if it had dairy and egg- of course it did! 🤦🏽♀️
We went next door to the Instow arms and had a much better experience- lovely vegan options and very adaptable. They even had vegan cheese and the barman checked the cider we ordered was vegan without us asking. I wouldn’t bother going back to the Boathouse when the pub next door was so much better.

Only one vegan option on a Sunday. - Edit
Disappointing lack of vegan options. Served non-vegan ice cream before we checked and then took 15 minutes to change it.
