Vegan-friendly lounge and apothecary bar

The entrance to the Black Cauldron is tucked into an alleyway in downtown Nelson. Vegan items on their menu include a charcuterie board, salad, chips with a cashew cilantro dip, baguette with oil and flavored vinegars, and carrot cake. They also have an expansive menu of cocktails and zero-proof beverages with some great vegan options, like creamy cocktails made with coconut milk. I enjoyed the vegan Persephone Board, which had hummus topped with sundried tomatoes, Kalamata olives, pickled red onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, falafel, candied walnuts, dolmas, baguette slices, and cashew cilantro dip.
