Good pub grub - Edit
Visited as a group with friends. They have vegan options on the menu and a whole vegan menu on their website.
Read moreI was really looking forward to mixing a few starters (like the kebabs) but they didn’t have this available when I went. Instead I had a moving mountain burger which tasted really good, with chips. They seem to know how to cook it now compared with the below review and the chips were lovely!
I’m visiting again next week so will find out then what options are usually available and try to remember to take photos!
Pros: Soft and crispy chips , Moving mountain is always a good veggie burger
Cons: Not all vegan items were available.

Some good options, some room for improvement. - Edit
Decent variety of options, but I've also had a variety of experiences. The first meal I had here was very nice, I think it was a curry of sorts.
Read moreThe second time I had the 'moving mountains burger', which was unfortunately a very disappointing experience: it was a very lonely 'mountain', with no chips to be seen because of the restaurant having to avoid cross-contamination, yet the price was still the same as the non-vegan burgers which included chips. This meant a very small portion overall. The bun was rock hard and I had to ask to have it replaced, which they kindly did, but I couldn't quite bring myself to ask them to also replace the burger patty itself, which had been overcooked to within an inch of its life. There wasn't much in terms of flavour, except the Violife cheese slice, which I don't really enjoy when it's cooked/warmed.
In the past I tried ordering a vegan dessert but was told they had run out, and unfortunately they also weren't able to offer a milk alternative for their coffees - this is something I'd really like to see them introduce. Also, they currently serve Pepsi, which means I'm unable to get a diet cola (as diet Pepsi isn't vegan).
Overall, there are still some menu options I'm looking forward to trying, and I certainly hope they'll fall into the 'good experiences' category! This pub is very local to me, so it's nice to be able to get vegan food and hang out with friends on a whim. I appreciate the effort the staff are putting in and I hope they can refine their menu options over time so they can offer consistently high-quality vegan food.
