Great food with a view - Edit
Thought to check happy cow when visiting Hay for the day. So glad we did, this place is a hidden gem. Enjoyed amazing vegan toasties (one jalapeño and one with chutney, tomato, and basil), with a beautiful view of the wye. Also had a couple of lovely oat lattes.

Fantastic wee spot by the river. Not obvious until you look over bridge - Edit
Tea coffee and cakes and a few other items. Cakes were fantastic and the chap is really nice. A lovely relaxing spot and there is a sheltered area under canvas. (Also under conrete bridge!).

Read moreWe shared an apple and blackcurrant crumblejack which was divine! The toasties were also lovely and the decaf coffee was very good quality.
There’s plenty of seating down by the river as well as a quirky little bookshop which is a perfect place for eating your toasties on a rainy day!

Best toastie I've ever eaten! All available with vg cheese and the soup is also always vegan - also delicious! All in a beautiful spot by the river, highly recommend! Paired with a lovely oat milk latte
