Expensive and over rated - Edit
I was on my usual mission to locate vegan cake and thought anywhere with a name like this must have at least something... Well yes, but it was the cake equivalent of a bean burger....a dry flapjack.
Read moreThe price was also horrific (even for Hay-on-wye). We got 2 oat cappuccinos, 1 not vegan scone and my disappointing flapjack for the grand total of £18. The coffee sub par. I wouldn't go back, there are better options.
Pros: Outdoor seating, Well decorated, Oat milk
Cons: Expensive, Very limited choice, Slow service

I had a jacket potato with vegan spread and a delicious homemade cashew nut pesto.
Read moreOther vegan options were a spicy bean dish (ask for the egg to be omitted) and a falafel and humous dish with salad. I had an oat milk latte (helpfully served with a spoon so I could remember which was mine and which was my husbands with milk)
The staff were really friendly and did their best to help me, but didn’t know all allergens in the food as the chef who made them wasn’t in. The food was brought to our outside table by a very cheerful and chatty person.
We felt the whole meal was a little expensive for what it was, but all the same was very tasty with good fresh ingredients.
Pros: Dog friendly, Cheerful, helpful staff, Happy to adjust dishes where they can
Cons: Vegan foods not marked on menu or counter, Todays staff didn’t know all allergens

Few VG options, but the curry was tasty and warming. Soup was also vegan although I did not try it while visiting. Husband loved his vegetarian Goat’s cheese salad!

This cafe was very accommodating to our vegan requests, offered to swap out any non vegan elements in the veggie breakfast for vegan ones and the food was really yummy!
