Small Vietnamese cafe offering vegan tofu mushroom bami as well as vegan tofu mushroom noodle soup. Plant-based milk alternatives available for coffee beverages. Open Mon-Fri 9:00am-6:00pm, Sat 9:00am-2:30pm.
Closed Sun.
I ordered a vegan bánh mì and rice paper rolls. The bar me came out with sauce on it and when I ask they said it was oyster sauce I explained that vegans do not eat oystersauce. They then had no tofu left for the rice paper rolls so I cancelled my order. They list vegan but they don’t actually understand what it is.
Funny little place in the backpacker area. Cheap and cheerful. They do great rice paper rolls with tofu at a great price. Excellent vego lunch option (eat in or take away)
In a town with no fully vego places it is a great option for a quick tasty well priced meal
While they have a couple of vegan options, I wouldn't call the place "Vegan Friendly" considering you order your food standing next to a display case of animal carcasses staring at you, but if you must go here, be REAL specific about what you want and make sure you talk to someone who understands what vegan means because one lady had no clue but another took good care of me. The vegan noodle salad with tofu and veggies was refreshing and hit the spot. The "veggie" soup isn't veggie - it's beef broth.
