Incredible food - Edit
So fresh and tasty. The tahini roll is a winner and I could eat the potato roll every day. I've loved everything I've gotten there so far. Worth driving to if you're in NJ.

Amazing food and values - Edit
The food is amazing! We tried 2 entrees, savory baked goods, and some sweets. And a turkish coffee as well! Everything is fresh and delicious. I will dream about the spinach and cheese borek. Seating is limited, especially on a rainy and cold Sunday afternoon, but we luckily snagged a spot for 2. Even if the limited seating was inconvenient for me I was happy to see the steady flow of customers for such a fantastic place! Staff was also great when I purchased a second borek to go but they were already out when packing my order. They were very accommodating to swap it out for another pastry and approached me with recommendations.
Read moreI was visiting NJ from Florida for an event and saw this place mentioned a lot on the NJ vegan groups online. It was a little out of the way but I am so glad I made the stop. I wish I lived closer!
Pros: spinach and cheese borek, Custard dessert (I forget the name but SO GOOD), Speaking up for Palestine
Cons: Limited seating (but so happy they're busy!)

Great food and friendly staff - Edit
Food was delicious! I had the braised eggplant and a matcha latte. My kids had Turkish breakfast board and baklava latte, potato and “beef” soup and strawberry tea, spinach and cheeze pastry and a Palestinian cola. A place I will definitely return to.

Great spot, limited seating - Edit
Went on a Saturday around lunch time and was pretty busy, were able to get a seat still though and parking on the street was easy. Food was delicious, and not necessary something you can easily get elsewhere, so well worth coming back even though it’s far drive for us. Desserts were great.

Worth the Trip - Edit
I drove about an hour to make it to The Baklava Lady, and it was entirely worth the trip. We went on a nice enough day to eat outside and try a variety of dishes. Everything was tasty, and many dishes were unique or hard to find elsewhere. It made eating there a real experience. I can't wait to go back.

The Best - Edit
Baklava Lady has hands down some of the best food around. You can never go wrong with a baklava latte and pistachio baklava! Their specials are always amazing and the kofte wrap is a great staple too. The owner and staff are so kind and the atmosphere is so cozy and welcoming. I moved to upstate NY but always make sure to stop by when I’m in town - I’ll never skip it!

Great tasting bakery - Edit
I’ve been to the Baklava Lady a few times and it’s always crowded. It’s obvious that people love the food! I go for the baked goods, it’s a really great Turkish bakery and cafe.
Read moreA couple of the baked goods have been hit or miss for me but for the most part they’re great. The staff isn’t all that friendly but like I said they’re always very busy and sometimes customer service takes a step back when you’re so focused on getting peoples orders to them. Sometimes they even have a local farmer selling preserves.
Overall I’d recommend checking it out.
Pros: Delicious food, Hand crafted drinks
Cons: Limited seating, Limited parking, Limited hours

right on respect your take, i appreciate the service comment, and i think it depends on how much animus each of us can and or should tolerate for a sweet treat; we all have different thresholds

Home-Baked Love and Global Inspiration at The Baklava Lady - Edit
The Baklava Lady, Naciye, along with Mark and their family, pour their pure, honest love into every corner of the cafe. It shines not only in the astonishing freshness and high-quality deliciousness they serve but also in the warm, welcoming atmosphere—a rare and delightful find. The menu has a perfect variety, with a tempting array of baked goods displayed at the counter and in the elegant, long fridge. Traditional favorites are always available, and it’s a treat to see the creative new additions that seem to appear daily. This spot is perfect for breakfast or lunch.
Read moreAlthough I’m not a coffee or tea drinker, I hear (and smell!) that they’re amazing. The photos displayed throughout the cafe and on the large revolving screen are breathtaking works of art—each taken by Mark at various landmarks around the world. He’s a true pro behind the lens, and Naciye is an artist in the kitchen, crafting pastries that are truly delightful.

No hate allowed? Except that the owner makes her hatred of Israel known in her social media accounts. Not exactly welcoming for Jews to hear that.

Loved it! Non-vegans loved it! - Edit
Cute lil shop with chill vibes. Brought my non-vegan mom and husband with me, and they are both already talking about when they can go back, and grabbed an extra pastry to-go! (I loved it too for the record) Great gluten free options (a donut, 3 kinds of pudding/custard, and most of their savory entrees can be made gf). Turkish coffee was delicious. Will definitely be returning!

Hands down the best vegan Turkish I’ve ever had (and I’ve tried many including in Germany) and this place blows them all out of the water. The bakery is exceptionally good and I love how they play around with flavors while still staying true to their roots. Cannot recommend them enough!

Oh. My. Turkish. Goodness! - Edit
Words cannot express the experience The Baklava Lady brings to your culinary life. Whatever you order will not only meld flavors and spices you probably haven't tried (rosewater lemonade.. pistachio cardamon cinnamon roll... Walnut tahini baklava.. and so much more) but whatever you order, as you briefly wait (service is so fast and way friendly), your anticipation or mouth watering will still be blown away by your first bite. We have been there several times and every time, better than the last. The Baklava Lady (she's real!) is creative and ingenious with all her vegan creations... No matter what you choose, you will be delighted and make sure if you dine in, get the "Turkish Breakfast Board"... Enjoy!

Amazing vegan food and pastries! Don't miss trying the savory pastries like the spinach and cheese borek and the sausage egg and cheese borek - the stuff began breakfast dreams are made of. The desserts are delicious of course - I love the rotating variety of cakes. Also the stuff is super friendly. I wish they were open more days and longer hours. Someone should invest in them so they can expand.
