Serves meat, vegan options available. Modern Thai restaurant with a nice dining room. Has a vegetarian menu with around 4 or 5 dishes all of which are vegan. The veg*n options are mucheaper than the meat/fish mains. A few dishes on the regular menu are also vegan (spring rolls, one soup). Selection of vegan, organic wine. Reported closed, Mar 2018.

Fantastic Thai food

I used to sell vegan organic wines and the wine list at Thai Jantra read like my stock list! It was this that alerted me to the potential of this place. The short vegetarian menu is in fact completely vegan and a couple of other vegan choices are hidden away on the main menu. I've been a few times and so I've sampled everything they offer for veg*ns. Moreover, the mains on the veg*n menu are cheap. The food is nothing short of fantastic and if you read the small print on the menu they source stuff from local organic suppliers. They should shout about it more! The staff are absolutely delightful. There's only one vegan dessert which sounds strange but is in fact the perfect end to a meal: Hot banana in salty coconut milk.

Pros: Excellent food, Local organic supplies, Modest friendly people

Cons: The coffee!
