Offers vegan, sugar-free, and paleo ice cream options, as well as a variety of sorbets, frozen yogurts, sherbets, malts, floats, and sundaes. In addition, has an espresso bar, soda fountain, and popcorn. Open Mon-Thu 11:00am-11:00pm, Fri-Sat 11:00am-12:00am, Sun 12:00pm-11:00pm. Winter hours vary.

Really good experience there! - Edit
I stayed in Omaha a few days to visit a relative. We went to Ted and Wally’s on two separate nights. Each night they had two vegan flavors to choose from. I had Vanilla Coffee bean the first night and black raspberry the second night. Both were absolutely delicious and a great consistency. The vanilla coffee bean was my favorite. The ice cream shop is in a great location and if I’m ever in town I’ll be back!

There were only two vegan options when we visited, but Holly crap they were good! Definitely the best hand made vgan ice cream we have ever had.

Disappointed at Selection - Edit
I’ve heard Ted and Wally’s always has some vegan options; when I went there were two vegan options, both a bit odd. I had the apple sorbet and it was not great. The flavor was strong and the texture resembled apple sauce. I wonder if they usually have strange flavors for the vegan option. I would want to try some other flavors.

Mmmm (More than one option! 😄) - Edit
2 -- TWO 😋 -- vegan flavors to choose from, I opted for a scoop of the vanilla bean, in a dish. The flavor was VERY tasty - super sweet with an intense vanilla flavor, but it had an interesting mouthfeel. The non-melty parts were creamy/sticky/chalky, giving it an almost sandy, old-fashioned homemade taste, but in a "this is definitely the vegan variety" way. I don't mean that bad, but if you're a person who's picky about texture, you may want to choose the sorbet.

I had the vegan coffee and donuts ice cream which was good and tasted like normal coffee ice cream but that was really the only option

Gummy and chalky - Edit
Tried the vegan root beer ice cream. While the root beer flavor was there, the texture wasn’t great (slightly grainy and gummy) and it had a chalky aftertaste. Was expecting something more elevated.

I LOVE Ted & Wally’s! - Edit
Located in Omaha’s Old Market, this ice cream shop has so much to offer! It doesn’t have a lot of vegan options, usually one per day, but it is constantly changing! Check them out on Facebook to see their daily flavors! I’ve never been disappointed by their ice cream; however, I wish they offered more vegan options!
