Location was 50 metres from our hotel which was incredibly lucky!
Read moreThe interior is lovely and bright, and we were served promptly even though there were quite a few people already in the restaurant.
We ordered the ramen, 2 serves of Alfredo, torta al pastor, enmoladas and a kombucha.
Food came out relatively quickly and it was all fantastic.
I shared the torta and Alfredo with my partner and tried the ramen and enmoladas.
The torta was great and came with tasty thick fries, and the pasta was delicious and filling.
The mole on the enmoladas was super nice as well.
We will be back for breakfast 😀

Best Vegan option in San Cristóbal maybe Chiapas - Edit
I maybe visited a dozen times during my time in Chiapas. It’s elegant yet relaxed. Attentive staff. A great range of items. Lots of freshly made, carefully put together options. Lovely daily soups. A few sweet treats. Great burgers. Had some pleasant outdoor seating. Popular with a group of regulars.

Arrived at the restaurant pretty late (20 minutes before closing time), but they were happy to help me. I ordered the pasta bolognese which was pretty good! Location-wise it's perfect, as it's close to the main plaza and in the more touristic area of San Cristóbal. This is not reflected in the price, though! Really enjoyed eating here, even though the staff could've been a bit friendlier.
Read moreCame back a few days later to have the soup of the day, fried rice with seitan and a homemade snicker bar. Everything was absolutely amazing (the staff was friendlier too), to the point where I've changed my rating from 4 to 5!

I tried once the mexican quesadillas with vegan cheese and the pasta with vegan pesto! Everything excellent, with fresh ingredients! The menu offers a lot of choice for everyone, also hamburgers, rice dishes and a soup of the day, everything was delicious!

My sister and I fell in love with this place back in 2014, and I don’t think they’d been open for long then. But it was some of the best food we ate during our 2 month long Mexico visit. I can still remember the burgers we had and the couple who own the restaurant are just lovely. I’m so glad to see that they’ve been doing so well since then. Hopefully we’ll get the chance to eat there again one day.

No Te Quiero Verde - Edit
I was really looking forward to eating some good vegetarian food at Te Quiero Verde. Let me start by saying that the service was very poor and not friendly at all… calling on the phone while serving our food amongst other things. We order a Portobello burger and the enmoldas. Both were the worst food we have eaten in Mexico so far in our 4 weeks of travel. The mole in the enmoladas was tasteless. The little amount of vegan cheese tasted like plastic and the frijoles was so tasteless that I wouldn’t be surprised if it came out of a can. Even in my experience frijoles out of a can are more tasty. The burger could have been nice, but the amount of mosterd was so ridiculous that it felt like I ordered a mosterd soup with a burger in it. And on top of it all, when I needed to go to the toilet it was out of order. When I asked the staff if there was another option they just said no and ignored me. My first and last time eating here.

Tal vez les pillamos en un mal día o fuimos demasiado tarde, pero la verdad es que íbamos con la expectativas muy altas por las buenas notas que acumula y quedamos algo desilusionados. Fueron muy amables y los platos estaban muy elaborados, pero esperábamos un puntito más. Con todo, creo que merece confianza porque todos los lugareños nos destacaban este restaurante como uno de los mejores restaurantes veganos de la ciudad.

Very relaxed place to enjoy delicious vegan food - Edit
I was at this place 2.5 years ago and wasn't that impressed by their burgers. This time I tried the ramen which were delicious. The corn in it was however somewhat misplaced. The ceasar salad with seitan was amazing, I would highly recommend that dish. The vegan cheese in the enchilidas was superb. The portions could have been a little bit bigger, but overall a very nice experience.
