Good vegan choices - Edit
Came for dinner, via Happy Cow reviews. Has several vegetarian/vegan choices. We got a salad, potatoes, stuffed peppers and bean stew. We were hoping for giant beans, but they were navy bean sized (similar to Campbell's bean and bacon soup, without the bacon). I make nearly the same thing at home, so we were OK with that. The stuffed peppers were pretty good, as we're the potatoes. We like that the salad was not pre-salted, like a lot we have had in the Balkans.
Read moreThe food was pre-cooked, so it came out really fast. It still tasted fresh, not like it had been sitting out too long.
Bright cafeteria style atmosphere. Staff spoke good English, was helping picking vegan dishes.
Pros: Fast service, Multiple choices, Reasonable price
Cons: Pre-cooked food (but was good), Bright lights, not intimate setting

Very good stuffed pepper - Edit
Same vegan options as Always (marked as vegetarian, we asked If its vegan). One of the best stuffed peppers I had in Albania (and i had many 😅), served with nice, fresh bread.

Simple local place with veggie options - Edit
The stuffed aubergines were delicious and green salad was tasty enough too. The okra was overcooked for my liking making it quite slimey. Otherwise happy with our meal, service and veggie options!

About 5 vegan options such as stuffed peppers, okra stew, stuffed aubergine. Very cheap and tasty. Simple food done well. Most people eating here were locals enjoying their dinner. We enjoyed it a lot !

One of few with genuine vegan options - Edit
The restaurant is pretty laid back. They have a number of vegan options available, but it's worth asking on the day. Many dishes are available to see before you decide as the kitchen is open. Good quality, good value. Stuffed Aubergine and stuffed Peppers are good (but these are pretty much the only vegan dish you will find anywhere so if they have something else go for that).

Homemade food - Edit
Very authentic, cheap and good food. I had vegetable soup and stuffed peppers and it was really good. The bread they serve with the soup was very plain and definitely not homemade. It was really cheap and the quantity was enough to satisfy even my hungry teenagers (they did not have vegan dishes). There were a lot of local people which I usually see as a sign of good quality. Definitely worth a visit.

Nice traditional food - Edit
We had stuffed eggplants and peppers, with the beans. It was really good, simple traditional food. It’s also very cheap and the house wine was really good as well for only 200 LEK.

Okay - Edit
We tried stuffed eggplants, white rice, okra stew and beans. Everything was okay, also the price, but very soupy and slimy, a consistency that I really don't like.

Really enjoyed! - Edit
Very cool to try some Albanian food! Tried a selection of things people on HappyCow had mentioned between us. Liked it a lot! The food tasted like home-cooked. It was simple but flavoursome. I really liked my beans 🫘

Good range of vegan options - Edit
My husband and I ate here multiple times while in Saranda. Vegan food is difficult to find in Albania, and this place has a number of options suitable for vegans. Our favourite was the 'beans' listed on the menu, which was a white bean soup. Green beans and stuffed peppers also good, but quite oily. A range of vegan simple salads too. Food is home-cooked style food, not fancy, but decent prices and quick service.

Quite oily - Edit
We got okra and potatoes as well as eggplants. Taste was ok..nothing amazing, but couldn't say bad either. That being said, my husband got a very upset tummy after that and was rushing to the toilet. He does have a sensitive stomach with oil though. I was fine however🤷♂️

Fast vegan food - Edit
A good place to go and eat something vegan. The dishes are prepared already behind the counter, look at the vegetarian section and salads. About 7 dishes to choose from, good enough. Recommend the stuffed eggplants.

Pasable, affordable, few vegan options. - Edit
Ate here twice during my time in Saranda. The first time I ordered the stuffed peppers, potato stew and mixed salad. I was pleasantly surprised, i mean it wasn't amazing, but it was alright.
Read moreThe second time I was way less impressed, ordered the stuffed eggplants and green bean stew. The eggplants were incredibly oily and the green bean stew was soggy and lacking flavour. I ended up with terrible diahorea that night too. Not sure if it was related to the food, but it's the only thing I can relate it too.
Pros: Has vegan options , Affordable , Decent portions
Cons: Can get very busy , Not a great deal of vegan options , Gave me diahorea.

Albanian restaurant with vegan and vegetarian options. Low key - Edit
The place serves traditional Albanian food.
Read moreThey seem to cook the vegetables dishes in advance. The advantage though is that you see what you are getting in advance, if you place your order at the counter.
The waiter showed me all the dishes that they had that were vegan:
There were: bean stew, green pea stew, oven baked leeks and and oven baked mixed vegetables.
They had run out of filled eggplant and filled peppers.
Not mind-blowing food, but it does the trick.
Pros: Several vegan options, Quick, Helpful staff
Cons: Food might be pre-cocked

Good vegan food - Edit
The food is traditional and is good. The choice is also fair enough but I am not sure if they have any idea what vegan means. Hopefully they do not cool with butter but... who knows

delicious traditional vegan food - Edit
Few vegan options, but very good. In particular I loved the stuffed peppers with rice, traditional albanian food. Staff is friendly and polite, I specifically asked them to indicate me which dishes were vegan. They even offered to veganize some dishes (removing cheese/meat).
