Good but expensive

Almost like a Rossmann, as you can find on every corner in Germany. There's less food variety, for example, there's no tofu. Also, almost everything is much more expensive than usual. Still good though, because there are many things you can't find in Albanian supermarkets!

Rossman

This is essentially a drug store with a small bio section. Nevertheless, I found it helpful to pick up some vegan snacks, such as tofu and other treats. ☺️

Note: This was a very helpful backup after the owners of the only vegan restaurant in town were unnecessarily unfriendly/unhelpful.

Several vegan options

Some vegan sweets (e.g. cookies) and processed foods (tortellini, tofu etc.) and vegan cosmetic products without animal testing.

Almost nothing from Veganz

Lots of vegan cosmetics (only place where you are able to find vegan soaps, shampoos, sunscreen, and so on). But from Veganz just one candy bar (chocolate with coconut). Could improve that. We bought the last smoked tofu. Beside the tofu, there are only tofu sausages. Vegan snacks are also very limited. Nuts, oats, etc., you can buy in every market around here.

Pros: Tons of vegan cosmetics , Prices very similar to Germany

Cons: Room to improve vegan options from Veganz , Room to improve vegan options to cook , No typical vegan Albanian products -do they exist?

So nice to have it in Saranda!

It is so nice to have such a place in Saranda: finally! You can find a lot of vegan products (not as many as back in Germany, but it is ok!).
Sometimes there are also discounts so: yey!

So many vegan cosmetics/skincare/washes!

If you’ve been to Rossmann before, you know what to expect here. In Germany or Turkey or Czechia or whatever, they’re not exactly rare, so it’s no big deal. But in Albania, especially Sarandë, finding vegan stuff can be a real pain.

Unfortunately the food selection is quite small and the tofu is expensive (€3 for a small block) and none of the wines are labeled, but for anything skincare related, it’s an absolute godsend. Low prices and tons of vegan labels on shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, body wash, cosmetics, skincare, lotions, you name it.

Vegan snacks and cosmetics!

One of the only places to find anything with a vegan label on it in Sarandë.
Huge variety of nuts, seeds, plant based milk, organic food.
Lots of great snacks like gummies, cookies and chocolate which are all labelled clearly as vegan.
Really recommend visiting this store.
