3.5 - Pretty good!

This was a hard review, since I really wanted to give them 4 stars, also because the service is always on point. However, there are a few things that drags them down.

Pluses:
1) Best (lentil) soup I’ve ever had - hands down! Like, it’s semi-liquid crack! (Despite asking them every time I order, and seeing the reviews here, I have a nagging feeling that the soup contains some kind of animal broth… But you gotta trust them, when they say it’s vegan🌱 )
2) Great falafels and tabouleh

Minus:
1) It really is a travesty to wrap such delicious falafel goodness with that run-of-the-mill bread. It’s soo hopelessly boring, and they practically throw it at you for free. Falafel & Grill, for example, make worse falafel, but their bread (and the pickles) make it an overall better wrap, despite its filling being subpar.
2) Their humus and baba ghanoush are a bit fad and bitter to my liking.
3) It’s not exactly cheap, but then again it is located in Andersonville

Pros: Great vegan options, Delicious falafel/best lentil soup - EVER!, Wholesome, down-to-earth service

Cons: Hopeless bread, Humus+ghanoush perf in wraps, but bitter as sides, Not cheap

Love this place!

This is one of the best kept secrets in Chicago. They have amazing vegan options with the best lentil soup in the city. Bring cash.

Neighbor staple

Taste of Lebanon is consistently great and has been a neighborhood staple for years. Cheap, friendly, and delicious my only complaint is that they aren't open later or on Sunday.
