Great vegan options - Edit
Tangerine (Boulder location) has great vegan options! They recently added vegan egg to the menu which can be substituted in any dish. They also have a dish called “the vegan”. I also love getting the huevo rancheros (sub vegan egg) with no daily (pro tip: get the vegan green chili as a side!!!!) PS- their chai w/ oat milk and OJ are 100% worth it.

Love this place! - Edit
I honestly don't understand why the rating isn't higher. That's why I'm adding a review. "The Vegan" menu option is delicious. The orange juice is out of this world. They have an excellent egg replacement. Sure, there could be more options, but what they do offer is stupendous. Personally, I don't feel that restaurants that take some time and effort to support vegans should be docked for not doing more when there are so many out there that do nothing for us. Give some grace. I'm a fan of Tangerine. The only challenge I have is the expense. If it was more affordable, I'd go all the time.

Very good but rude comments by waiter - Edit
I got the veggie hash and subbed the eggs with their vegan egg option. It was very yummy. Second best after the buff's chimi. Also- the waiter commented on my food when I got it and said "wow it actually looks good"... kinda weird to comment.

Not worth it - Edit
Their only vegan option seems a little random. The vibes were really weird in the restaurant and my fork was literally ginormous. It was bigger than my knife and I ended up eating with my spoon. Their orange juice is freshly squeezed and it’s really good! That’s about it, though.

Nice vibe. Decent food. - Edit
I had the tempeh breakfast scramble. It was tasty. But the presentstion less than inspired - the arugula garnish was dry and wilted. Also the waiter was peppy but a bit distracted. So, in general it seemed like there wasn't as much attention to detail as I would have appreciated. However, the orange juice was fresh squeezed and delicious.

"The Vegan" is craveable. More options now too - Edit
"The vegan" titled entree option is wonderful. Another review said it seemed random and thrown together, but I appreciate that it has actual vegetables, beans, and flavor, unlike most restaurants. I love it and will vote for this place over any other brunchy spot.
Read moreI wouldn't go here alone or with all-vegans, but it's excellent for a mixed group. They also have an extensive coffee bar where everything can be made vegan. Tons of vegetarian options and sometimes there are vegan entree or dessert specials. The staff are all very knowledgeable and accommodating.

Now sub vegan eggs - Edit
Many reviews listed lack of vegan options but now can substitute mung bean vegan egg for any egg dish. So lots of options. I had the Vegan, my husband huevos rancheros w vegan eggs. Both great . My decaf latte w soy milk was good, my husband's coffee really bitter.

Now with more than one veg option - Edit
I’m reading a lot of negative reviews because there’s only one dish on the menu that’s vegan… aptly named “The Vegan.” We’ll, good news, Tangerine now offers vegan eggs… so they can prepare vegan skillets, breakfast burritos and other options beyond the one that they used to serve (which, by the way, I thought was quite good). Unfortunately, the truth is that finding quality vegan breakfast options in Boulder is frustratingly difficult. Tangerine mat be your best bet.

Avoid - Edit
They have one vegan option that feels like a thoughtless assembly of random ingredients that happen to be vegan. Not a place I would visit again. Unless you're going with non-vegan friends who aren't willing to go elsewhere, avoid this place. If you do get roped into going, stick to the sides menu. "The Vegan" is not good.

The Vegan is great, but wish they had vegan pancakes - Edit
They have one excellent option but that’s it! Worth coming if the plate looks good to you. It would be so easy to offer vegan pancakes or waffles, but they don’t.
