Really decent food

Went here and had the cau lau, which was very tasty! For 25,000 it was really well priced. Menu seemed somewhat limited, though I think you maybe have to ask for specific dishes if you want them e.g banh xeo.

Not much English spoken, but easy to point to what you want

Pros: All vegan, Cheap, Tasty

Cons: Limited menu

Best experience in Vietnam

This has been the best experience so far in Vietnam. I hit this place during new moon evening. It was packed with local people who had a dinner there. I took a tasty Cao Lao. For sure will come back.

Pros: Cheap , Local vibe

Cheap tasty eats .

We tried the pho, rice dishes, even the crispy brown rice snacks. All were pretty tasty! Nice friendly people. Strange we were there both times are the restaurant was empty. Sometimes only 1 table occupied. We kinda had the whole place to ourselves. The con is they were selling a black rice dessert. We asked them several times and even used the google translate app to ask them if the yogurt in it is made from cow’s milk they told us no it’s made from fermented rice. But we bought it and it’s made from Cow’s milk. They are not a vegan restaurant.

Cheap local place

I had the pho and it was rather bland with no vegetables and just a few chunks of fake meat. Definitely have had much better vegan pho in Hoi An (Karma Waters and Minh Hien 3). However it was cheap at 20.000 so you get what you pay for. Place was a little dirty, but good for those on a budget.

large inexpensive portion size, all vegan

I had lunch there and I could not finish my plate as the portion was so big (however doable for my husband's appetite). Cheap and tasty. However the mock meats were all a bit too greasy/oily in my opinion.

Pros: cheap, decent portion size

Cons: food a bit too greasy

Cheap and yummy, but needs a clean

Here you can choose between lots of vegan dishes from a buffet that are all tasty, but a bit oily in some places.

Prices are extremely cheap and more than fair.

What needs to be improved though are the conditions of the tables. At a place like this I dont expect anything need. Most tables however were so smeared u couldn't put a hand down. But worst were some small bowls with chili? in it on the table to spice things up. Ours was full of mold :(

Pros: Big buffet, Tasty, Cheap

Cons: Dirty

Does what it says on the tin

A reduced menu of about 6 dishes, incredibly priced. Packed out with locals which is a good sign. We enjoyed our meals and would definitely return.

Pros: Cheapest we've found in Hoi An so far

Simple pho

I set out on my bike this afternoon to find this place when suddenly I found myself in a torrential downpour just moments after leaving my hotel. Rather than turn back, I (foolishly?) carried on with my journey. The rain only got worse, and soon I found myself riding through calf-deep water on the roads—my feet fully submerged each time I pedaled. What’s worse is that the rain caused my map to disintegrate, so I had to meander my way to this restaurant with only a vague memory of where it lay on my map. When I finally made it, I was soaking head to toe and had to wring out my shirt several times before entering. When I finally made it inside, the woman working there pointed out several things on the menu that they were offering for the day. I went for the Hanoi pho, which was very good. Perhaps it was the cold, wet bike ride, but the pho was exactly what I needed at that moment. It was piping hot and had a nice light, but flavorful, broth. The only downside to the pho was that its primary savory/protein elements consisted of four pieces of mock meat (all the same one), which wasn’t particularly flavorful or worthwhile. This is a shame, because most other places I’ve been to in Vietnam put several types of mock meat plus tofu and/or mushrooms. Still, it was a good meal that really hit the spot.

They don’t serve everything on the menu

Unfortunately a lot of things on the menu weren’t available.
But the Pho was great. Payed 10.000 Dong

Lukewarm food

Not a great meal. They only had a couple of dishes, which were served warm and weren't freshly prepared. They also had lots of fake meat, which we don't love.

Good food and cute kitties!

The food we had here for lunch was really good, a huge bowl of noodles for 20.000 and 2 bahn xeo's for 20.000. Hugging with a black kitten all free. Menu seems to be all pictures so we just pointed at two dishes and were totally okay with anything that was coming. We were told that you should come early to make sure the best dishes are still available.

Favourite in Hoi An

My favourite restaurant in hoi an and by far the cheapest (plate with rice buffet dishes and soup for 15.000)!
The staff is friendly and spread good vibes!
The food is amazing and one you found out which are your preferred dishes at the buffet you want to go the everyday (2 times 😉)

Good and basic

A local vegan restaurant where you can eat for very little money. The range of the dishes was quite small, but still good and basic food.

ok food, nice staff, cheap

I had the pancakes which tasted ok, but were extremely greasy. Nothing special. Since I got there around 6pm I didn't go for the com chay (Buffet) because it's usually not as good later in the day. Staff was very friendly and prices are indeed very low.

vegan lunch buffet

Came during lunch time and had the typical vegan buffet tray with rice noodles, tofu, seitan, greens and rice. The prices are cheaper (just 15,000 for a plate) compared to the other vegan buffet competition. Their English and food was also a bit better. Great deal for the price.

Cheap but Soulless

Not sure what all the fuss is about, but the phở here was literally the worst I've had during my four-week Vietnamese odyssey: three slabs of mock luncheon meat hacked over a bowl of rice noodles barely submerged in lolly water, with a few shreds of greens on the side, the best thing that can be said about the food here is that it's cheap. The cao lầu I tried was equally average, with the stiffness and tastelessness of the noodles suggesting they were at least day old. If you're trying to squeeze every dong out of your trip, dine here; but if you value quality, you may want to cough up a bit more white tax and dine elsewhere.

Beautiful fresh local vegan and veggie food

Non pretentious, locals pack this place out in the lunch hours. It's fresh and scrumptious. We had pretty much all items on the menu. My boyfriend is a meat eater but allergic to egg and onion and this place was amazing and very little nightshades so catered to both of us with ease. Everything was vegan. The rice paper rolls are bananas good. Ate here almost everyday

Really great!

We really enjoyed both times eating at this restaurant. Our first time was in the morning and I ordered the noodle soup. It was really great! The second time I ordered a buffet and chose a selection of delicious vegetable dishes with rice.

My favourite 'Chay' restaurant in Hoi An, if not Vietnam!

I'm lucky enough to be living just around the corner from this place and have visited numerous times. I'm a vegetarian who's been living in Vietnam for over 3 years so I've tried many of the fantastic vegetarian restaurants in Hoi An, Da Nang and elsewhere and believe me, this is one of the best!
It may not be the fanciest of places, but it is the real-deal; an authentic Buddhist chay (vegetarian) place that caters to local Buddhists. The selection of dishes on offer is fantastic and includes local must trys:
- Cao Lau (udon-type noodles soaked in a sweet-smoky broth, with mock pork and crunchy wontons).
- Mi Quang ( rice noodles in a turmeric-flavoured broth, topped with veg, tofu, mock meat, rice crackers, coriander and peanut).
All noodle dishes are just 15,000vnd (less than $1!)

Also on offer for breakfast is 'Bun' (vermicilli-type rice noodles in a tomato broth, lots of mock meat); and a really yummy selection of dishes that you choose at the counter (highly recommend the yellow, turmeric noodles; and savoury jackfruit).

The com chay (dishes of the day and rice) selection is always vary varied and includes plenty of very convincing mock meat options as well as pure veg dishes. For 20,000vnd they'll pile your tray up with about 5 different things and you'll get a big serve of rice and a bowl of soup as well. For 25,000 you can get 7 different servings on your tray.

If you're lucky enough to visit on a day when they're offering Banh Xeo (crispy savoury pancake), be sure to try it! You'll get a very generous serving of Banh Xeo served alongside a piled-up plate of fresh, fragrant greens; rice paper to roll it all in (the friendly staff will show you how) and a dipping sauce. Very filling, only 30,000vnd and the best Banh Xeo I've tasted! On the days that it's on the menu they will write in on the board at the front of the restaurant. They don't usually serve it much later than noon.

If you visit on one of the full or half-moon days this place will be packed with locals, especially in the evening. They do special dishes on these days, one of the stand-outs is the Chicken Rice (Com Ga).

The staff are friendly and speak English (some more than others) and tourists/travellers/expats pay exactly the same as locals. There are no menus, so just look and point, or practice saying dish names in Vietnamese if you dare :) A great choice even for non-vegetarians, my boyfriend is an avid carnivore, yet he loves this place!

Noodle soup in March 2016

My boyfriend and me were here in March 2016. I ordered noodle soup with vegetarian meat. It was very delicious, but portion was too small. We paid 15.000 đ. :)
Waitress was very friendly and she actually spoke English.

Cons: Inexpensive

Pros: everything!

The best service with excellent food

The owner treated us perfectly. We didn't knew if we would have enough money to pay for dinner, and she offered to come back the next day to pay. The dinner was perfect, we highly recommend the rolls. Plus, the place was well set up, pretty and warm. Nice decoration.
