Oh well - Edit
Went with mixed group as guest - an omni, three vegetarians, and vegan me. The others had a feast while I enjoyed some fantastic fresh chutneys and one dish only from the buffet. We had to ask which was which; it was not labeled. Place was very clean, waitress nice, manager kinda eagle-eyed and hovering. Doubt I will be back unless they change their approach. No hard feelings :)

Delicious! - Edit
The food is delicious but the service is iffy. There is never a wait for a table there. I've been numerous times and am still unsure if I'm confident about the vegan and allergen-friendly status. So far I've not had any allergic reactions to anything I've eaten so that's good. The food can be on the spicier side. Don't order online. The menu isn't accurate.

My favorite Indian restaurant - Edit
I love Indian food. When I visited Melbourne, I figured I’d try my luck with this place and wow! The food blew me away. They have a great vegan option and it’s clearly marked on the menu. The spices used made everything so flavorful.

rice has cream in it - Edit
We thought oh great, a new Indian restaurant..they’ll have vegan options. They do, but overly spicy and the waiter told us to call ahead so they can make rice without cream in it. Chana masala just isn’t the same without basmati rice.

great indian place!!! - Edit
We recently moved to the area and fired up the happy cow app to see what was around and Taal came up. Has a vegan section in the menu and everything! Loved it! Had the channa masala, the aloo ghobi with rice and bread. Delicious! Recommended!
